Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired university teacher and librarian with interest in Civil War burials and burial practices. Also undertaking to photograph all cemeteries in Erath County, TX, and surrounding counties, then to enter the tombstone information into the database. Many older tombstones are in such shape as to be illegible, so corrections to bad or missing biographical information is welcomed.

Please make requests for additions, corrections, links, etc., directly from the memorials' "edit" feature rather than here. I'll get to them much faster. (Transfers to direct descendants, please, and not in bulk lots!)

Hi Ken Jones:

I would like to use the photo of the headstone for Mary Lucinda Gill McCleskey which you have taken. This is for my own personal use in doing a book for a Yantis relative, and for my own personal tree.

Vernia Thelma Kelton
Please update the birth and death date of Vernia Thelma Kelton. She was the Great Aunt of my husband, Shane Kelton, and a sister-in-law to his Grandmother Neta Beatrice Kelton. Thank you, Valerie R. Kelton, May, TX.

Dear Mr. Jones;
I am grateful for all the edits you make which I have submitted. I have not said such but I offer them for family embers and do appreciate you time and effort to make these memorials as complete as possible. Should you ever see Dr. Wade, tell him hello. Scott Wallace

Ken: Thanks for making that change. It just occurred to me to send you a transcript of her obituary, which I have submitted in the "suggestions" field. I think her name probably is French, but I don't know for sure. Her husband John Dennis Stell is a distant cousin of mine. I had heard of her before but never met her.

Margaret Walker
You took a photo of H. L. Walker in Proctor Cemetery, Proctor, Comanche Co. I'd like to know if you are anywhere near there because I need a photo of his wife: Margaret Walker 1836-1926 should be next to his. Let me know if you can.

Thank you.
