|I love Find-a-Grave! |
My primary focus has been to photograph all of the graves in Meade County (that haven't already been done). I work very hard to make sure these photos are of good quality and that you can easily read what is etched on the stone. I am also trying to photograph the stones of my ancestors and relatives. I never go to a cemetery and photograph just one stone--I try to take at least 20 so we can get as many stones on Find-a-Grave as possible!
I'm happy to transfer memorials and make corrections and additions to the memorials. I also have no problem with you using my photos.

I have a request that concerns two different memorials in Graceland Cemetery. I suspect that one is a duplicate of the other, but it's impossible to know which is correct without a little research.
There is a memorial for Maybelle Hazell (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=69567440) b. 1926, d. 1928.
There is also a memorial for Maybelle Burnett (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=25114465) b. 1926, d. 1928.
I believe a (or the) "Maybelle" marker appears near a Burnett marker and the Hazell markers. Are there one or two Maybelles born and dying in the same years buried in this cemetery?
There is a spreadsheet for Graceland Cemetery at http://www.oldmeadecounty.com/gl_web_data08052014.pdf that lists both Maybelles with different parents. Maybe there are two!
Your initials make it look like you might represent the Meade County Genealogical Society, so this mystery shouldn't be too hard to figure out if you are a genealogist. Will you help resolve this? Maybe the cemetery directory shows different burial locations and it can rule out the posted marker photo for one of them.
Let me know if I should remove mine.

Thanks for posting those two obituaries.
They supply a lot of information I didn't have, and I really appreciate it!
Thanks *very* much for transferring those two Burris memorials to me. I really appreciate it, and would be delighted if you also find obituaries for them. I've added the information about the location of Bob's grave. Best!
