I have been working on genealogy for about 25 years. I just found out about Find A Grave a few months ago. What a handy tool this is. I enjoy going around to different cemeteries looking at all the old headstones, and taking pictures for people who might not every see the headstonesof there ancestors if someone didn't take pictures for them.|
If anyone finds an error, please let me know and I will correct it. Also anyone who would like to add something, I can also do that for you.
For over 15 years I have been seriously researching my Gibbons family, with a beginning origin in South Carolina (Joseph Franklin Gibbons 1839 and still searching for information prior to that), also researching the Paris family (Rhoda Catherine Paris) from Spartanburg, South Carolina and the Giles families from that area.
From there the search has taken me into Harlan and Bell Counties in Kentucky, and surrounding counties in VA & TN, later on to Rockcastle and Lincoln Counties in KY also. In KY families that connect with our Gibbons are: Fee's, Green, Burkhart, Hensley, Wynn, Wilson and more.
My grandfather Andrew Jackson Gibbons was born in SC, was raised and married Margaret Fee in Harlan County KY. They raised their family in Lee Co. VA. Andrew Jackson Gibbons brothers are, James Giles, John Giles, Spurgeon Gibbons, Willie Gibbons, Campbell Gibbons, Frank Gibbons II and Nathan Gibbons. No known sisters.
If anyone has information of any of these families I would be very appreciative of anything you are willing to share.
I am also working on a register for Rose Hill Cemetery in Robinson, Kansas.

If your not related would you please consider a transfer to us. Your assistance is most appreciated. My husband is related through her mother Bessie (Hughes) Heltzel. Bessie's mom is Dicinda (Phillips) Hughes. Dicinda is a sister to Mary "Molly" Rebecca (Phillips) Stanton. Molly is a Great grandmother to my husband. Thank you for the consideration. We wish you & your family a safe & enjoyable Christmas Season.

Regarding Memorial# 83516257 Thomas Cunnigham, may I ask where you got his wifes name?
|PepperLou||Roberta Ann Bair|
She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri. The obituary had wrong town and state.
She was cremated.
|Cori Hoag||william Thrash|
There are identical photos on the memorial for William Thrash #113918231. Perhaps one can be removed to allow additional photos in the future?
|Russ Mortenson Boyd||Names on list|
Many of the names on the list is from cemeteries that have tombstones and no dates on the stones. I only provide the place of burial. Tis better to have the place of burial instead of nothing. People can have the place of burial and work backward. Sorry if you think that this is bad.
The transfer for Ferris Deskins is greatly appreciated.
