Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired forester living in Oregon, and am a wild land fire line supervisor in the summer. My roots are in eastern Nebraska. Genealogical interest include my father's side: Fauss, Edelman, Sohl, Packer, Boschult, Hiebenthal, Lueninghoener, Dau, Marks and Hennemann; my mother's side: Anderson and Bode; my wife's paternal side: Gohde and Gramenz; and my wife's maternal side: Crawford, Lowe, Rossman and Aul.

I am collecting stories, obituaries, and photos of individuals and their gravestones and assembling books for each of our families, as well as posting relevant data on FAG memorials.

I welcome inquiries about memorial records that I maintain, as well as inquiries about our family trees.

Photos at Eagle Point National Cemetery
David,

I also volunteer for FindAGrave in Southern Oregon. This morning I came across the photo you took looking across the white military headstones at Eagle Point National Cemetery. You captured the feeling of looking across those hills in person - outstanding photograph! The memorials you have created are also first class.

Just wanted to let you know that many of us appreciate your efforts.

Floyd Margaret and Bob Fauss
Hi David,

Floyd and Margaret were my great aunt and uncle (actually on both sides of my family). Floyd spelled his name with an "a" although the rest of his immediate family, I believe, used the "o".
He told my dad that he wanted to be the first Fouss in the phone phone - lol. I'm spending time tracking how the spelling changed from generation to generation and region to region. The descendants of Daniel and Jacob Fauss use Fauss, Fouss and Fouse.

RE: Fouss graves
Yes, there is some confusion in the memorials for this family. Whoever entered them linked some to the wrong spouses. I made a suggestion to correct this, but nothing has been done yet.

RE: Fouss (Fauss)
I was able to make a quick trip to East Lawn cemetery in Marietta this evening. I got one of your requests (Frank), plus 3 other nearby Fousses (Dawn, Dennis, and Walter). I remember a few near Floyd and Margaret, but I couldn't find them tonight. I'm not sure when I can get back there again. It might be some time. --Doug

William Rossman
Hello - thought you might like to know I found a grave of William Rossman at New Lorimier Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau, Mo. yesterday and posted it on his memorial page. Since you posted the cemetery picture, it might be of interest to you. The grave seemed to be the only Rossman there but I didn't look too closely. It is my self appointed task to take pictures of all the graves at New Lorimier (my kids think I have a hole in my head and maybe I do). But if it helps people - that would be wonderful.

A retired forester for the NFS? I'm a current USFS worker here in Dickinson. Have fun putting your family books together.
