Bio and Links
Bio Photo My researching of family began, after the birth of my grandson Max in 1997, when my daughter-in-law gave me a version of Family Tree Maker. As a child I always loved mysteries. I read my mother's Ellery Queen novels, watched Perry Mason episodes and my favorite board game was Clue. I always thought how much fun it would be to work as a detective. I guess, in my own way, I do.

I firmly believe that our ancestors deserve more than just dates on their memorials. It is because of that philosophy that I try to add as much of the information that is available to me. Thank you for either your help or your understanding when I fall short.

It is for that reason that I have stopped making transfers for right now. I have been backtracking my postings to make corrections or add information.

The surnames I am searching and recording;
from my paternal side are:
Gibson, Keller, Miller, Ploehs, Reed, Walkinshaw
&
from my maternal side, they are:
Beamer, Cunningham, Nelson, Peterson, Park, Parke, Parks, Perrell, Snow and Wiseman

On my husband's tree there are the following:
Mutscher, Oldendorf, vonGunden

The surname originated from 'von Gunten,' i.e. from the village of Gunten on Lake Thun in Kanton Bern, Switzerland. Hans von Gunten appeared in 1703 and 1704.

For those who wonder...
Why the number of memorials managed is higher than the number of memorials created?
This is due to some generous F*A*G contributors who decided to transfer some of their memorials to myself and others.
Thank you...
I feel honored to be one of the recipients entrusted to care for these postings.

RE: Not sure what to do
Please accept my most sincere apologies. I wrote the note at the end of a very long day. For the past four months I have been working many hours on investigating burials in the Kelleys Island Cemetery. On Monday when I wrote my note I had spent several hours reviewing cemetery records in the Kelleys Island Village Clerk's office. I was not specifically looking for the Zeh's at that time,
I'm not saying that Albrecht Zeh is not buried in the KI cemetery, but I can say that at this time I have not been able to locate a reference to his burial in the cemetery, only for his wife, Rosena. There is no headstone with his name, only for Rosena. I will looking at other sources in the near future. Perhaps one of them will shed some light on Albrecht. I do know that he and Rosana were living on Kelleys Island in 1880.
I do have questions about information attached to the Trieschman family. I will address them in a new email.

I noticed that you managed his memorial. I was wondering if you are related; as his father, Nimrod was my great-grandmother's brother. Her name was
Elizabeth Victoria Speaker. If so; would you be interested in exchanging information?

passing through
Peak a boo
Just passing through and saying HI!!!
I survived the hot hot 100 100+ summer days and now the wet wet prefall thunderstorms are rolling over and over us in a stalled train pouring path, for several days locked in place. No flooding here in southern Indiana ..
[BUT if it floods where I live, Noah will be rounding a lot of us up for sure.]

Still have plenty of humidity, and if your running low , I will send some right over to you ;->

Della and Baine Boyer
Hi, I wanted to let you know that they have three children: Dan, Jonelle and Joe. Fortunately, none of them have passed, so they wouldn't be on here.

Thanks,
Dottie
