Interested in Family History/Genealogy. Enjoy the project of putting on data & photos. Will share photos but would appreciate a notice.
I will admit to making errors in the beginning with the Find-a-grave guidelines, but hope I have corrected them.

minor annoyances

Incomplete data ie putting names on with minimal data & coming back several months later to put more data on.

Duplicates - & seeming unwillingness to remove them.

Dupes- predating ( back-dating whatever it is called ) & them claiming mine is a dupe.
This is not a site for doing "Family Trees " If a person is not buried in the Cemetery then they should not be put on to complete a Family tree"

Any pictures put on the sites with my public
name on them were taken by me. The only exceptions are the ones from other sites with their permission & about a 100 for the Durham Cemetery. The memory stick was given to me by Kim.
Many of my pictures were taken by J Aitken.

RE: Thompson, Mabel
Mabel Thompson's husband was Warrant Officer John Duncan Kennedy 1885 - 1948. His name appears on the same headstone as Mabel Thompson. He also has a military headstone right next to it. Mabel Thompson was his second wife as his first wife died.

Yes, that would be great. I couldn't find any obituary info about her online, but she would be about 95 now, so.....
Thanks,
Alison

RE: James Watt
Well, I thank you for your interest & time. No problem. The Latona Cemetery List doesn't have James in their list even, for some reason and they don't often transcribe the sayings, just the name & vital data anywan. I asked Kim to transfer him to me as he is my great grandfather. THANK YOU!! Elaine :-)

James Watt
Hi... It's me again! I really appreciate the photo of (memorial #92512563) James Watt's gravestone in Latona Cemetery. However, the bottom part of the photo is cut off. Any chance you have another photo or could take another photo sometime with the rest of the text showing? Here's my transcription of his stone: JAMES WATT ... DIED .... SEPT,29, 1905 ... AGED .... 76 YEARS 8 MOS. -- Native of Banffshire, Scotland Beloved husband and father dear >>> (Rest is illegible and cut off in photo). You may wish to add this transcription as well. James was my great grandfather. The Watt family Bible Death page had James Watt's death as Aug 29, 1905 which makes him dying at the age stated on the gravestone. I have him born Dec 10 1828 as per 1901 Census... Thanks again... Elaine (Watt) Vanderwal :-) More research needed on my part to clarify this....
