Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me whereabouts the cem is located. I have a few death records in my family and they are suppose to be buried in a Wallace Cem in Knox Co TN.

Jennie Long Headstone Picture
Hello Wayne, thanks for all you do for find-a-grave. I see that you have a copy of the headstone for Jennie Long that you've placed in memorial 39327781. There are actually 2 memorials for Jane Williams Long, aka Jennie Long, and the first one and most extensive is 28561654. So it would be great if you can attach your picture of Jennie's headstone to that memorial, too.

Hi Wayne....great photo of Solomon Demarcus headstone, he was born in 1877 in NC, he is my 4th great grandfather, we were there in Oct 2010 & the area where his headstone was so overgrown with trees & vegetation, the roots were knocking the stones over & breaking them up....from your photo I see it has been cleaned up & that is a very good thing....a new headstone had been set for Solomon, I don't remember when though..... we had an escort into the trees or we would never have known the cemetery existed....

there were about 4 cars with us in our group of family members, while we were in the grove of trees we had a land owner from one of the residences point a rifle at us from outside the grove of trees....that was scary....our escort knew this man & quieted him down....I hope you had a better experience....we were told that the cemetery was not private property....

it is definitely an experience my sister & I will not forget, & I know my mom never did....she passed away in 2012...
