RE: Pikeville cemetery
When I was at this cemetery a young couple came by. They told me that a logging company destroyed most of the monuments and that they tried to keep an eye on it to make sure it didn't happen again. They were not related to anyone there. I thought it was so nice of them. I have never applied for a Civil War Monument. I did apply for a Spanish American War Monument. I went through the VA to get that. Good luck!

Civil War Graves
Thanks for helping me to confirm the correct first name of Edmond Moss. I had found his name listed both ways on one of the many documents I have searched on Loudon Co. I will turn him in as Edmond, with Edward as duplicate name. You are correct in saying there are several more CW soldiers in Pleasant Hill. My record show I have turned up a total of 12 soldiers, and I have probably missed some. You helped confirm the 3 that did not have POB photos. Thanks

Pleasant Hill Church
Thank you for helping ETHC document all the known soldiers buried at Pleasant Hill Church in Loundon Co. We did not have proof of burial photos for these three men.
