I am a mother of three young children. I work evenings and spend my morning digging up the lives of the dead. |
I started on this path searching for my families ancestors about four years ago. I've hit so many brick walls that it's slow progress now finding them. So I've turned my attention to preserving the history and the lives of those buried here near my home. It has been an interesting path and I'm enjoying every minute of it. My true passion is writing the history of those buried at the old Paupers Cemetery, now Kootenia County Cemetery not far from my home. It is an old forgot cemetery with a few wooden crosses that don't even have names, simply because other then about five people we don't know where the rest are buried. You can read much more about my work at www.untangledfamilyroots.blogspot.com.

Here are links to Thomas and Katharine on Family Search.
If you have not used Family Search before, membership is free.
Thomas was born in Nebraska, his parents were from England. Katharine was born in the Odessa region of Russia to German parents. I have done all of the genealogy for the family. Katharine was one of the more difficult to track since no one knew her maiden name. The work is quite addictive. I have spent the past year totally obsessed, and it's not even my family!

Thank you for contacting me regarding Thomas and Katharine Hodge. They were my wife's paternal grandparents. They died when her father was quite young, so little was known about them. I appreciate your info about the cemetery.
I would be very happy if you would transfer the memorial to me.

I'm doing good and still doing the family search too. When I think I've came to a dead end something new will pop up and I'm off on a new line.
Good to hear from you again!

Hi, hope you don't mind my asking. Just curious who she is in relation to the ones I took photos of for you. Mother? Daughter? Sue
|Sue Tanner||RE: Kate Woolsey House|
I will transfer to you tonight. Sue
|Sue Tanner||Kate Woolsey House|
Hi Amy, I was at Greenwood Cemetery yesterday and found and photographed Kate House while looking for your other Woolsey requests. She must be related as her marker is directly above marker for William Jr.,
I have created a memorial for her. If you want me to transfer, just let me know. Sue
|S. Reeves||Charles Graham|
Hello, Can you please tell me the source for the middle name 'John' for Charles Graham buried in Center Grove Cemetery in Cass Co. TX? I've not come across a middle name for Charles except at your memorial. Thank you.
