My husband and I moved to the Ozark, MO area in 2006. I research genealogy for both of our families and that's how I found Find A Grave. There's something very exciting and satisfying about finding a photograph of a headstone for one of our family members, no matter how distant.
I don't know the names of all of the cemeteries around but I would be happy to help take photos if I can find out where they are and they're not too far away. While I'm there, I always take a few more pictures and upload them to the site just in case there isn't one already there.
RE: Abel Rogers Bryant Cemetery I'm glad you found the photo for Abel Rogers. Her list is for Bryant Cemetery in Saline County, AR and Abel Rogers is in the Bryant Cemetery in Crawford County, AR. But thanks for that information, too. Frances
Mary Maria Welch Rogers Hi Susan, i was wondering where you got the death date for Mary Maria Rogers. The cemetery confirmed her grave is unmarked and her husbands is also unmarked. that was sad to me but regardless - the death date you have on her memorial page is different than the death date they have so i wanted to check with you where it came from or if it was a typo?
RE: Thank you for your hard work! Sorry I couldn't be of more help. There is plenty of room all around the grave; he could be buried there with no marker. I could get you a wider area picture if you would like?
obit Thank you,I just trying to use the obits I ended up with when copying for my own use. My mothers family was Goans and they married into the Rogers family. Can't say I'm related/not.I don't know.I will sure try to get obit to you tomorrow. Thanks,JD
You're welcome! You are very welcome for the photos. I have found some of my family photos on this site and was excited to be able to give back. I am sorry that I couldn't find Ben's grave. The other three were together in a row and his was no where to be found. I thought I might call the cemetery today and see if they can let me know where it is. No promises, but I'll do what I can to find it!
Carnie Yeary Photo Susan, Thank you so much for the Carnie Yeary photos, and congrats on your first volunteer photo. Maybe I can find more relatives in Sparta for you to find. :) These were very nice photos.
