I live in Augusta County, Virginia. I started out with findagrave by listing family surnames that I am researching - Albert, Sites, & Stokes. |
The photo is the grave of my Granddad's little brother Lewis. Family members couldn't remember the location of the grave. Then one day while looking at an old photo album with my Grandma, I asked about a photo. Grandma's answer was the clue needed to find the grave. What was lost was found.
If you have the time, please stop by and visit my heroes. They have had a great influence in my life and I miss them very much. My Granddad Albert & Grandma Albert, my Great Grandma Stokes and my 2nd Mom.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Please include findagrave in the email subject line.
I will gladly add information to a memorial, but in doing so, I will link the contributor to the information provided. If you do not wish your findagrave name to be linked to the information, please do not provide it. I will not add information without the source of that information.

The photo that you have posted on the Oak Hill Cemetery in Massies Mill does not look like the cemetery that is located at the other contributors memorial photo. I tried to fulfill requests for Oak Hill today with no luck. I think that your cemetery photo may belong to a different cemetery. I am going to ask Find A Grave to post the photo I took today which is very different from your photo. You may want to investigate this.
I am new to the find a grave website. I have just started out doing some research on my family history on my father's side of the family. Unfortunately there are not many family members left that are willing or able to provide me information about the family. I have come across the name Clarence Weaver while doing some research and it turns out that Clarence Weaver was my Great Grandfathers brother. I was just wondering being you have added a photo of his grave stone if there is any relation with you and him. Thank you for adding the photo and the location of the cemetery. I would love to visit some of the old family cemetery's once I complete my research. Have a blessed day.

Thank you for your contribution to the site; if it were not for citizens with a love for family & history we would be at a great loss to much information. Thank you for taking the time to add to further enhancement and historical documentation of our loved ones.
