|I live in California, away from most of the cemeteries I'd like to visit. So, most of the effort I put into Find A Grave is indexing existing external online databases, primarily for my direct ancestors.|

|Carl Witcombe||Visiting Requested Graves.|
Visiting Ebenezer URC Pontnewynydd - South East Wales, to search for Mary Jones Smith and William Smith Resting Place tomorrow. Hopefully will upload photos tomorrow evening.
|Carl Witcombe||RE: Find a Grave Request|
Hi Scott. We are experiencing extremely hazardous weather - high winds, deep flooding etc, so unable to access the Graveyard to date. As soon as the weather improves I will visit and attempt to find and photograph the relevant graves.
Recently the Vicar has had a massive cleanup of the Graveyard site, so finding the relevant graves, should be easier, as the last time I visited the graveyard site it was very difficult to find graves within the 'old site'. The weather hasn't eased off yet, although as soon as the weather improves I will attempt to find and upload photos etc. I have the particulars of the search terms permanently in my wallet, so as soon as weather improves I will visit the Graveyard site. I hope you and your family is in good health. Carl

I am interested in fulfilling your request for William Smith and Mary Smith. I used to live within 100 yards of the described Church Graveyard - Ebenezer URC Pontnewynydd, I now live within travelling distance of the requested Graveyard - about ten miles. I will attempt to visit the site as requested within two to four weeks - assuming free from snow, as snow can cause disruption in this very hilly area. Carl

I hope I have everyting right about Anna. A couple of years ago I compiled several pages of notes on the Meek/Meeks families I could find.
Of course, I have by now forgotten what I have, so it is a good thing that I kept my notes.
One thing I do recall is the history books may not contain all of the right information on the Meek families and I am still not entirely sure who her grandfather was. So maybe now is as good a time as any to do a bit more looking.
I will keep you posted as to what I find.

Anna and her husband Rev. James Sears were my 5th Great Grandparents. You posted Anna while I posted James and several other family members.
It turns out there are 3 seperate Sears grave yards on the James Sears Farm on Louden Road in Whitley County, Kentucky. They just a few hundred feet or less from each other and form a triangle. Several graves have been lumped together in one grave yard. John S Sears, Elizabeth Wheeler Sears (my 4th Great Grandparents) and at least four other graves are right next to the road while James, Anna and a few others more in the back 40. So to speak and can not be seen from the road.. I wanted to talk to you before adding the 3rd Sears Cemetery on the Sears farm. I want to know if you would mind moving Anna's grave a few hundred feet once I add the 3rd cemetery? Or if you would mind my asking for a transfer so I may move her?

Happy to help, as the graveyard is in the next village to where I live and had a lovely walk over there this morning with my husband and son. Sadly I couldn't locate her husband's grave for you. There are a number of graves in the churchyard that are either unmarked or the headstones are badly eroded so making it impossible to read any inscription. If you need any others locating in Derbyshire let me know & I'll see what I can do to help.

I am from Thomas's line.
|Granny Terra||William Carter|
I wanted to add to your memorial of William Carter 51349637 that his son Thomas's family flourished in America also. I am a descendant of that Thomas. His family members also belonged to the House of Burgesses.

Thanks for information. I am trying to research my husband's family. Would like to exchange information. I am trying to find ancestors from these lines that fought in Civil War.
