"Personally I have nothing against graveyards, I take the air there willingly, perhaps more willingly than elsewhere, when take the air I must. The smell of corpses, distinctly perceptible under those of grass and humus mingled, I do not find unpleasant, a trifle on the sweet side perhaps, a trifle heady, but how infinitely preferable to what the living emit, their feet, teeth, armpits, arses, sticky foreskins and frustrated ovules."- SAMUEL BECKETT
RE: Susannah Garland Susannah married Thomas Jefferson Garland. He is buried at Macedonia Cemetery in Carthage, 17946909. She has a memorial, 121841999, listed as Mrs T J Garland. I inherited my uncles records. He was on the board of directors at Waldrop Cemetery and made it his goal to map the entire cemetery. Susannah is not on his list as being buried there. Since she died in 1924, she would have been. Thus, I think her listing at Waldrop is incorrect, especially since she has a memorial elsewhere. I think it would be helpful to submit your information, which is useful for others, to the memorial at Macedonia.
RE: James Roberts James was born in March of 1845. He is my wife's great-grandfather, and I have more information if you are interested, such as his two wives, his parents, and his 11 children. Best regards, Jim.
