I have been fascinated with cemeteries as long as I can remember.|
I try to put in the information as it is on the headstone, but that is not always correct/complete, so I am always happy to make corrections and add links when asked. Accuracy is important when using Find-A-Grave as a genealogy tool.
You have my permission to use my pictures for your genealogy research, but please reference the Find-A-Grave Memorial number.
If I have put in a memorial of one of your family members and you would like to take over the maintenance of it, please use the "Suggest a Correction" link and put your Find-A-Grave Member number in the request.
Also please specify your relationship when requesting transfers. I am no longer transfering outside the Find-A-Grave guidelines. If the relationship is not specified, the request will probably be ignored.
Find-A-Grave Policy on Transfers
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer.
Thank you and happy stoning to all...

|FamilyManic||Would you like a few more memorials?|
Would you like a few more memorials transferred TO YOU. I have finished updating a lot of Colorado memorials - (Please read my profile page). I can transfer several hundred of these to you because your images are on most of them. I am considering transferring ALMOST all the RAMAH Cemetery memorials to you. I will be retaining management of my maternal grandmother and perhaps one or two more RAMAH cemetery memorials while I have no interest in the remainder of the memorials now that I have finished updating them. Please advise. All the best to you and yours.

Thank you for making the edits.
|scubakiwi||Harriet Wolheter, d1859, IOOF, Gilpin County|
This is very strange, someone with the same name is said to be buried in Ohio, same or very similar birth and death dates. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=14135422

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/ places/plot #s/links to spouse/s and parents.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
|Shaun Boyd||Spring Valley Cemetery|
I just gotta say that your photos of the Spring Valley Cemetery are much better than the ones I have here at the library in Castle Rock! Well Done!
|John Moore||Mary A. Lund # 51912854|
Here are the memorials for Mary's parents if you could link them.
John C. Moore # 84944261 father
Missouri Moore # 84944308 mother.
Some notes if you want them.
Mary Adeline Moore is Mary Lund's maiden name. Born 16 Jan 1871, London, Laurel Co. KY. Died 21 Oct 1945. She is my grandfather's half-sister. Her spouse is Franklin F. Lund 1869-1933
|Doris Jaques Bair||John Lewis Piper|
John passed now and the obit is listed on Loves funeral home if interested.
|Bill Merchant||Deacon Leonard Merchant|
Re Find A Grave Memorial #24721072 for Deacon Leonard Merchant and comments by Dr. Leonard Paul Merchant:
Dr. Merchant states that Leonard was the fourth child of Joseph Merchant and Prudence Nelson Merchant. My research reflects that he was actually the child of their marriage. Prudence was first married to Zimry (or Zimri) Merchant, an older brother to Joseph. Prudence gave birth to Zimry's daughter, Letitia "Letty" Hide (or Hyde) Merchant. Zimry; his brother, Lucius; his sister, Letitia; and their mother, Dolly (Rice) Merchant, all died within a few days/weeks during an epidemic in late 1814. Zimry died 18 Dec 1814, and his daughter, Letitia -- likely named after his sister -- was born 26 Dec 1814 - eight days after his death. On 11 Aug 1815 -- eight months after Zimry's death, Prudence married Joseph who, obviously, raised Letitia as his own daughter.
I would appreciate it if you can pass this information on to Dr. Leonard Paul Merchant. If, in fact, you and or he already have this, I apologize for any duplication(s).
BTW, I have not, as yet determined my relationship to Joseph or Leonard, but I believe I am descended from the same Merchant (Marchant) family. My 4th great grandfather, Moses Marchant) was born in Montague, MA in 1767.
Thanks so much for your contributions to Find-a-Grave.com. I am also registered but have not, as yet, contributed any memorials.
William "Bill" Robert Merchant
