RE: Lucille Frances Chance Goodwin
Thanks for getting back to me. It's a wonderful picture and I guess Lucille just looks great for her age.
Lucille's sister, Edna, is my great-grandmother. I guess that would make Lucille my great-great-aunt, and it would make us cousins somewhere down the line. Alvernes M Chance is our great-great grandfather in common. Edna's Daughter Virginia is my grandmother, who passed away when I was 4. My mom was 40 when I was born, so if your families were close you may have known my grandmother and you may have more memories of her than I do.

Lucille Frances Chance Goodwin
On Lucille Frances Chance Goodwin's memorial, you have a great picture of Lucille and her two daughters, Thelma Louise and Emma Jeanne. You have them identified as Emma Jeanne, Lucille Frances & Thelma Louise, from left to right. I just want to double check that that's the right order. The woman on the right looks the oldest, which makes me think that's it's Lucille. The women on the left and center look much younger, which makes me think they're the daughters.

Re: Wrong parents
I have researching this family for over 40 years. Elizabeth Dale born 1801 Kentucky who married Henry "Harry" Walden, died after 1870 in Clay or Putnam Counties, Indiana. Her parents are Fortunatus "Natus" Dale born 1767 to before 1813 and Jane "Ginney" Shepard born 1776 to before 1813 . My sources of information are wills, probate records, deeds and the old Walden-Dale bible records. Thank you for the corrections of my 3rd Great Grandparents. Victoria Walden Southwood

John Wilson Rutledge is a brother to my Great Grandmother Rutledge. I have been searching for information on two of the Rutledge Brothers that family History has them being killed in the Civil War. Information has been hard to find if you have any additional information on John would you be so kind as to share it with me.

Thank you

Joannamae, Hi! I too am a Chance researcher. My grandmother was Ethel Elva Chance. Her husband, my grandfather, had an aunt, Flossey Newkirk, that told him of the Chance/Bocum cemetery near Laurel Indiana. That was in 1977 and I just got into Genealogy so my father and I went to Brookville, IN and the gourthouse. No one knew a thing of the Chance cemetery. Aunt Flossey gave me the general location and after looking in fields, we found it. 3 foot of weeds covered it and you could see a few stones. We came back in the summer and recorded all the stones we could. I must have told the right people in Brookville about it, for in 7 or 8 years later, they cleaned it up. I took the photos of the stones you see in Find A Grave and check else where for other connections. Do you have data or info about Anges Noaks? Keep in touch. Tim Mattingly
