In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, this past week the local DAR laid a wreath on the grave of the first killed in action in Fernandina Beach, FL. I thought that was the same as the first KIA in Nassau County but it wasn't. The online records of those who served in Vietnam show that Michael Wildes' hometown was Callahan, FL at the time of his death, thus making him the first to die in the Veitnam War from Nassau County, FL instead of Charlton Co, GA as the earlier newspaper clipping stated. He was buried in GA, which may led to the confusion about his hometown.
|Carol (Hersey)Brookheart||David Levi Barnard (1995) and Della Ray Hersey|
I saw where you had submitted a bio for David Barnard's memorial. In it it says that he had 2 children by Della Ray but that is incorrect. His 3rd child was Vivian R. Barnard born June 1, 1930. She married Robert Lee Stallings and passed away in 2013. I will also let Julie Davis know who has the memorial.

|John Miller||Dr. Walther M Barnard|
On Walther Barnard's bio you mention: "He also published 53 articles on Barnard family history, the fruition of an avid personal interest in genealogy." I would be pleased to be able to read some of this. How might I get a copy?
Dr. John R. Miller (5th cousin to Walther)
|Tracy Larry White||Deacon Ben James' children|
Do you have any information on where Deacon James' dau. Nancy Elizabeth James O'Berry is buried? I see she has a link on Deacon's memorial, but her memorial does not exist.
Thanks for any help.
Jerry what line are you from?
I'm Shirley Barnard Freeman # 47230106 I go as follow
just wondered what line you came from just trying to find new relatives!
|Len George||Old Minchew Cemetary|
Do you know who owns the old minchew Cemetary in ware county, ga? There is much work needed...very bad shape. It is located off of Johnny Minchew Road on Millcreek Road. I would like to help with project to cleanup and repair fence.
|J. Barnard||Barnard in Quebec|
I am a descendant of this line:
5-Joseph Barnard (1741- 1803) and Rebecca Jones (ca. 1751 - 1818)
6-James Barnard (1775 - 1825), who married Elizabeth Barber (d. 1880)
I would like to trace the tree to 1-Francis Barnard (ca. 1617-1698)
It seems Francis was born in Hadleigh, Suffolk, England. Is this possible?
Can you help please? It seems Walther M Barnard did an extensive document but I have no further information. He passed away on January 1, 2010..
Thank you for any info. Best regards,

|Maxwell Family||RE: Cynthia Tuten|
I wish it was that simple. :) I am a direct descendant of John Eldred Tuten Sr. Our family always thought his father's name was Isaac son of William. I've been going back and forth with other relatives and their "proof" . All I have found is records saying Cynthia married a Richard and a Simon Tuten. Those being two different people. No Isaac. So I personally don't know just that I keep getting slammed by all sides when I ask for proof. If you have any records on the matter that would be helpful. Are you related?
