Hi Gail:
I went to Pine Hill Cemetery and the ride was about an hour from my house in Tallahassee.
I took 192 photos - sometimes different shots of the same headstone and as of just a little while ago have uploaded them to the memoriams.
I'm now compiling a list from Find A Grave of the ones that still don't have photos of their headstones and will make another trip there, probably after Thanksgiving.
I know that I didn't finish, but there are a lot of folks buried there without headstones, or with illegible ones.
I took my 11 year old grandson with me and he enjoyed every moment, including adding the photos to Find A Grave. I think I've found a successor for down the road.

Thanks for the quick response.
I'll go ahead and pick up the two requests and then take off early one morning this week - probably Thursday and see how many I can take.
Directions look pretty clear for finding it.
(I live in Tallahassee).

| Pine Hill Cemetery
Hello Gail:
I see that you took the photo of what apparently is the entrance to Pine Hill Cemetery in Grady County, Georgia.
I just received a request for a photo and thought I'd go there and take it. There is also an outstanding request from February that I thought I'd pick up.
Here's my concern, that perhaps you can help me with. On Find A Grave, there are approximately 220 plus memoriams listed. However, only about a dozen of them have headstone photos. Do you know if there are a lot of headstones in this cemetery and no one has bothered to photograph them or are there only just a few headstones?
Would appreciate a response. If there are a lot of them, then I can adjust my time and try and take all the photos.

| McNiel-Faw-Riggs Cemetery
In the Wilkes County Genealogical Society Quarterly Vol 25, No. 4, winter 1992, page 27 is a listing of people buried in the McNiel-Faw-Riggs Cemetery. The write up says that the cemetery is quite large but that many of the stones are unreadable. There are about 20 people listed. Apparently the cemetery was checked in 1972 and again in1986. I will be glad to send you a copy of the page if you are interested.

There was a Commodore Christa McNeil, his father was George Franklin McNeil. Commodore had a son. He lives in Wilkesboro NC. He is also named George Franking McNeil. Guess they loved the name.
