Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.
Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

|JDC||Rev William Harrison Norton|
I am trying to locate some descendants of the Rev William Harrison Norton that is buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fort Valley Georgia.
The last one I could find was William Edwards Norton that died in 1966 and buried in the same Cemetery.
Do you have any advice for finding out if there are any surviving Norton relatives?
The Rev William H Norton had a brother (John Wesley Norton) who died a few years after his son (John William Norton) was born. John William ended up moving to Shreveport Louisiana, and I am one of his descendants.
We are trying to connect with that side of the family and ideally find out more information about the Rev. Father (John Norton) as we can not trace back our family any further.
Any help would be appreciated!

Mary Bailey & Joseph Prince are my third great grandparents through their son Jesse Prince > Zelphia Eulala Prince>Sophie Lillian McDaniel m. my grandfather, Walter William Reese - all of Edgefield, SC. Records have been elusive on Joseph and Mary and I just need proof to tie Mary to Jesse Bailey - tho it seems probable, I am am just looking for positive proof. Thought you might be able to help me.
I certainly appreciate that you add research info to the memorials and I'm not questioning you - it is very much appreciated. Just looking for that elusive nugget of proof. Thanks for your time.

Everyone appreciates your tremendous effort on Find A Grave. There are however, some members of our family, that should not be here because they are burials unknown.
Please review your notes for the following memorials:

Hi Carol, first I'd like to thank you for your most valuable contributions. My question regards Mary Bailey who married Joseph Prince (my 3rd Great Grandparents) listed as daughter of Jesse Bailey b.1764. May I ask your source? I have been searching for proof of Mary's father for quite awhile - whether Jesse or John Bailey. Thank you for your
Chastain info - very enlightening. Would appreciate anything you might share about Jesse Bailey and other children not mentioned in his will.

Thank You so very much for the transfer of my Grandfather's brother. Thank you for your time and efforts to help others. May God bless you. Valerie
Please check the dates for the father. I just received an email from someone questioning this relationship because of the dates. He also asked me for proof. Do you have validation?
Let me know what the dates are and I will correct. If not, I will remove.

Can you please tell me how you're related to him? I thought I had all of his descendants; and if you descend from olne of his siblings-I would LOVE to have any information on them that I can get. I wanted to trace them but ran into brick walls on every single one. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.

You made this memorial for my gggrandfather in 2009 (and kindly transferred it to me several years ago).
I have always wondered how you knew his name, how you knew where he was buried, his dates. There are no burial records for that cemetery, and we were lucky to find a distant cousin who knew where he was buried. His stone has been gone for decades, so you didn't see a stone in the cemetery.
Could you please tell me how you came to enter his memorial? Are you somehow related and have access to records? The only record I know of that has his dates of birth and death is his wife's family bible and I know who has that.
This has been a mystery to me for years and I hope you will tell me.
