Sorry about the blank message - don't know what happened, but I think you can delete it. I am writing to thank you for the transfer of Jacob Leffler. I do not ask for transfers of Lefflers, but am always glad to get them and I appreciate your generosity.

I wondered if you have more information about this memorial? I think the parents are James E Evans and Martha Jane Evans, but can't be sure. If so, this memorial helped me to knock down a brick wall.
I knew that my GGGrandmother, Sarah E Evans Watson (1860--1937; Find A Grave# 64702568) was born in Hartford City, Indiana between 1860 and 1861. Because she was born after the 1860 census, and because her father died during the Civil War, I don't have great documentation, only my grandmother's recollection of Sarah's father's name. I also have her death certificate, issued in Joplin Missouri in 1937 that named her parents, but no one at that time knew her mother's maiden name. I had no information about Martha, Sarah's mother, until today.
I started taking a very close look at all of the census records for Blackford Co., Indiana and came across a Martha J Stewart, Clark Stewart and Sarah Stewart living with the Lyon family.
Do you know if Clark Stewart's sister, Martha J Stewart, married James E Evans in Indiana? I think that my Sarah and Joseph H Evans are siblings, but can't be sure.
Any information you can offer might help. Thanks so much. I don't think I'll ever find James E. Evans' grave because of the war, but would love to find as much as I can about Martha.
Thanks so much...
Thank you very much! Will be adding some photos and details soon! God bless you!!!
This is my niece, Greta. I would love to have this memorial transferred if possible. Thank you!!!
Thank you Dawn, I've sent you a message. I look forward to hearing from you whenever it is convenient for you. :)

|SLusg||Descendant of Calvin and Caroline Shields?|
Hi Dawn, this may be a long shot but I found an archived message on the RootsWeb message board for Wells County (from 2000) in which you (or someone with the same name) mentioned being a descendant of Calvin & Caroline Shields, via their daughter Elmyra Agnes. I recognized your name from the records here and so I thought I would try and contact you. I, too, am a direct descendant of Calvin and Caroline via their eldest son, and I am hoping to make contact with other descendants still in Wells County. If you would be interested in sharing information, please leave me a message and I will get in touch with you. Best wishes - SL

Hello again Dawn,
I can't begin to thank you enough for your generosity in transferring:
Jonas Perrell # 23689430
and his wife;
Elizabeth Wilson Perrell # 23689371
to my care.
I have successfully connected them with their parents and, so far, one of their four children.
As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorials.
You should also know that by sharing with me you be making the Grandson of their daughter Rose a very happy person as well...your help allowed me to "connect the dots"
With sincerest appreciation,
Sorry about the relationship edit request confusion, but I wanted to link the children to original Jacob Palmer (1785-1862) memorial that you created, instead of the recent duplicate, for consistency reasons. I didn't realize the memorial had been duplicated until after I submitted the first edit request.
