I have dabbled in genealogy off and on for many years, and now my sister has taken over for our mother who was deep into our family genealogy for decades. I am also a quilter and have enjoyed researching the genealogy of some historical quilts.|

I am trying to determine the death date of John C Pflaum of Delavan. I note you have recorded the grave of John G Pflaum in 1944 at the Spring Grove Cemetery. Might the "G" be a "C"? Do you have any additional information on him? He was born in Algonquin, McHenry, Illinois in 1869. Thanks for your help. bob Bratzler

Hi, I deleted my memorial. When I took this photo several years ago, there were only about 100 memorials on findagrave for this cemetery. Glad to see over 6000 now.

Here's another example of the effort I am making to complete the memorials which you passed to me... I've been able to link the gent to his parents, and they to his grandparents. And found a great BIO for his memorial... Over the weekend, I spoke with 2 more LIVING Hollister descendants.

Thanks for updating Andrew K. Harbison.
I am a direct descendant of the 125PVI by two routes;
1) Sgt John Coho, Co. K, Gr Gr Grandfather
2) Pvt John Benton, Co. E, Gr Gr Gr Grandfather
And my quest is to identify the final resting places of ALL 910 of them.
Harbison brings me to 780 out of 910.
|Burlington Historical Society||RE: Emma Littlefield|
Received the obituary for Samuel D. Littlefield from the Feb. 11, 1926, Delavan Enterprise. It says he was married twice - first on May 10, 1859, to Mary Victoria Ridgeway, who died Dec. 14, 1862. They had one child, Alice Edna.
Samuel was then married on Jan. 7, 1868, to Emma Jane Martin. They had one son, Leon. Emma Jane died Dec. 27, 1897. Her obit in the Dec. 30, 1897, Delavan Enterprise said she was born Nov. 4, 1848.
It appears that there was no Mrs. S. D. Littlefield who died in 1884.
If you would like copies of the two obituaries, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll e-mail them to you.

Yes, I am related. I was born a Worth and I'm tracing my direct line. Please transfer. thanks!
|Norma Faller||RE: Hezekiah Worth|
I believe the marriage record that lists his name as Hezekiah Wilber Worth and "William" is his nickname. Lots of times the nickname is on the headstone, which is what throws everybody for a loop. Some Ancestry records list him as Wilber and others list him as William, but I'm quite sure it's the same man because the children's names are the same in the records.
Am gradually adding "this" level of detail to ALL of the HOLLISTER and LATIMER memorials which you've confided to me... It's a HUGE family, well documented, but it's sometimes a real "detective" project to unravel certain relationships! The memorial cited above 70143641, is "typical" of my work! THANK YOU !!!
