I started out just responding to photo requests for Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence, Missouri. The cemetery was established by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in 1904.

I found myself walking up and down the same rows over and over hunting names. I then decided I would take a certain section, record the names, come home and check to see if they were listed. If not, I would go back and get a picture.

Then I found out that Jackson County Genealogical Society published a book in 1997, with the cemetery assisting with information, which I could purchase.

So now I am taking a section at a time and in some cases re-doing my photos.

I am happy to transfer memorials to family; just let me know. Plus, my photos are for public use should you wish to copy them.

Martha, sent you some info on Bernice and just wanted to let you know that I retrieved it off of her Church records. I went to the community of Christ and got them from there. Also her maiden name is McChristy. Her and her husband James William Stobaugh, had miscarried a child and you can get it online with the state death certificates. The number for that one is 27185 it is titled Baby Stobaugh. The child passed on the 30 of Aug 1928 in Independence, Jackson co., Blue twnsp. It was a male. I will keep you posted.

Take care of you,
