I visit cemeteries in the state of Connecticut, where I live and the New England area in general taking photos of headstones of the surnames that I am researching. The one cemetery I take the most photos is Center Street Cemetery (Old Towne Burying Ground) in Wallingford, Ct. The town of Wallingford is where my ancestors settled in the late 1600's. Some migrated to New York, Ohio and beyond, but I am still reseaching the ancestors who settled in Ct. from MA. So, check out CENTER STREET CEMETERY headstone listings, you may find what you are looking for. Surnames: Cook(e),Barnes, Sloper, Hall, Ives, Hull, Spencer, Dow are the main surnames I look for but I add other surnames I take photos of if the headstones are in good shape and readable and add them to this site.|

|dhutson||Samuel Merriman Cook|
I think there are 2 possible burials for Samuel Merriman Cook, yours # 6140440 and #15081118.
I have sent edits to both to add parents and wive on yours as she's already on the other so that both memorials can remain.
I am working on my great gma Munson's family and sending edits when I find memorials on here. thank you for your time in adding pix and memorials.

|Debbie Hancox McMurry||Edward Lacey|
Hello, my fifth great grandfather Edward Lacey #6232169 died in North Fairfield Parish, Fairfield, Ct. Back in the 1770's when he died the area was called a number of different places. It has changed drastically over the last 200 years. Could you transfer him to me #47330967? I have proven through DAR and CDA my lineage. Thank You!
|Patrick Shaub||Captain William Emerson USMC|
Looking for a descendant of Ralph Waldo Emerson from Concord, Mass. Nickname is "Bing." He was born 12/14/1941, killed in Vietnam (with a friend of mine 1/Lt John R. Harrell) in a helicopter crash 11/20/1968. He earned a silver star 16 days before his death. He's apparently not in the Sleepy Hallow Cemetery with Ralph Waldo. I would like to get in touch with his family, particularly his brother who I know is a local poet there. I can't find a record of his burial. He might be in a veterans' cemetery - who knows?
I appreciate any help you can offer.
|Susan||Dorcas Rogers Taylor, Stackpole|
I have the death certificate for Dorcas. It has her buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Nantucket, MA.
Is there a Mt. Vernon Cemetery?
Hope to hear from you, Susan

You have put the John Haven and Susan Tompkins Emerson family in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Massachusetts and their children. They had triplets Julia, Helen and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is missing from the cemetery. She must have died between 1880 and 1900, she is in the 1880 census but doesn't show up after that. I was wondering if she doesn't have a headstone but is buried with the family.

|Alycia K||Marius son of Elam and Becky Cook|
Hello, I just added a memorial and photo of a headstone to a Marius Cook, son of Elam and Becky, in the Hillside Cemetery in Cheshire, New Haven County, Connecticut. I believe he would belong to your record 15911192 Elam Cook, b. 1830 buried next to Rebecca. If you would like me to transfer this memorial to you I am happy to do so. Let me know!
All the best

|Susan Connelly||RE: Dorcas Stackpole|
I have posted a picture of the gravestone for Dorcas and Charles (and a Therese Stackpole) who are all on the stone. I had also added an Edoard and Florence Stackpole who were nearby in the cemetery.
|Susan Connelly||Dorcas Stackpole|
I have found a headstone at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Nantucket for a Dorcas Stackpole, however the DOB doesn't match your date. Also at the site is a Charles, but MI of "M"... please let me know if you think this is the same person and I will post the picture.
|Berks-Dauphin Roots||Old Cemetery, East Haven|
Do you know if a portion or all of the burials have been posted? Thanks
