My interest in family history began as a child when my grandfather told me about how his grandfather had rode with Forrest and fought in the Civil War.|

Do you know where Andrew & Mary (Lacklin) Jackson & their daughter Mary Jane Jackson Morgan are buried? I have been searching for Mary Jane & can't find her anywhere. There's is a Jackson Cem in Daviess Co., KY & it's all growed up & someone listed about 15 people that was buried there but they weren't on the list, but there's other people that are related like the Lanham & Sparks. Hope you have this infor just lying around some where. I talked to a distant cousin & she wasn't helpful at all & didn't care or want to know about the Jacksons & according to a book on the Jacksons we are distant cousins to the President Andrew Jackson & she said I don't want to be rude but I don't care that just bothers me, I love researching my Roots & am very prood of our ancestors, thanks Annie Crowe Coffman
Are you related to the Jacksons?

Thank your the thoughtful biography on Simon Girty. It is easy to find information on this man by one side or the other of his life, and both sides are equally true. However, it is good to read something that tries to explain both sides of him. Again, thank you.

Thank you again for the listing on the Grandfather I never had the chance to know.

Thank you for the posting on my Grandmother. While I knew where her grave was and had visited it a few times as a child, I was pleased to find her on this site. My father named me for her. While I never had a chance to know her as she passed away nine years before my birth Ive always felt very close to her. I only wish Lilacs had been an option to place on her grave as this was her favorite flower.

Don, I'm interested in your nice memorials for the Torrance family. Are you related? My great-grand aunt was once married to Sylvester #15980944 and they had two male children. I have just received a transfer of Mabel May (Warner) Torrance/Avery's findagrave memorial #32664749, where I have linked her to her father George Warner and her mother, Mary Louise (Hooker) Warner, and to Sylvester. If you have any family stories about their marriage, I certainly would like to know about it. I believe I have a pre-wedding photo of Sylvester and Mabel in my collection.
