RE: Carlton family
I wonder if you have followed Cassandra Carlton (1806-1883) who married Carson Patterson (1804-1874) and their son Thomas Patterson (1827-1899). Cassandra was the daughter of Thomas Carlton (1788-1863) and Nancy Wade.

I am trying to verify some information about Thomas's children and if he had a daughter born 1869 named either Sarah or Sally and who she married.
I am hoping she married a Robert Adams (1864-1906)

thank you for responding.
Feel free to email me if you would prefer. Towen84@gmail.com

Carlton family
Hello,
I noticed that you have a number of Carlton memorials and had left flowers on a few of them.
I wonder if you are related to this family?
I am trying to resolve some of my wife ancestors and trying to see if/where it connects to the Carlton line in Tennessee.
If you are related, I wonder if I would ask you about your tree?
thanks
Tom

RE: The Greiners in Riga Cemetery
Hi Blue,
Just let me know if you want me to look Gladys up under a different last name.
I'm happy to help.

RE: Flora Baucum
I am not related to the Baucum family. I research many families in Henry/Carroll/Benton Counties... and when I come across old data that I think is valuable... I try to add it, in order to help others. Glad you liked it. Thank you for the work you do for findagrave! Best to you, PPC

RE: The Greiners in Riga Cemetery
Hi Blue,
The cemetery records list 5 Greiner burials: Sylvan and Fern, David and Barbara, and an infant.
Sylvan and Fern are in a lot with Fern's parents.
David and Barbara are in Sec: Old, Row: 9, Lot: 294, Graves: 2 & 4.
The infant is in Sec: Old, Row: 7, Lot: 206, Graves: 4. It died in 1876 and the parents were George & Maria Greiner.

According to census records, Gladys and Sylvan divorced between 1930 and 1940. She was born in Ohio and the 2 censuses show her living in Ohio. I would think she might be buried in Ohio. Do you know if she got remarried? There are several burials with Gladys as a first name at Riga. If you have a remarried name for her I can check the records.
I am in the process of trying to create and update the Find A Grave entries for Riga based on the cemetery records and a spreadsheet of headstone information created by Chuck Oslund a few years back. The listing from the township office for Riga is not complete and they know that. Using Chuck's spreadsheet has added many more burials to their listing. It is a slow process, but I am making headway. I have gotten through the burials with last names starting with A through E, and have added about 350 memorials so far. I will be providing the updated information back to the township office to help them improve their records as well. I'm enjoying the challenge.
Let me know if there is any info I can provide to help you.

RE: Berniece Reynolds
you are welcome to use any photos I post to Find A Grave for your family research. If I can get a better photo later this summer, I will replace the first one posted.

Simon Foster
Hi Blue,

I got your message about duplicate Simon Fosters at Eisenhour Cemetery. I asked the cemetery for the Eisenhours buried there and also added other names that were on the pages they sent me. If you look at the plot numbers, they are different. Since they have the same death years, perhaps they are the same person, but because of the differing plots, perhaps not necessarily. If you can find more info to prove they are the same person, I'd be happy to remove the one with less info.

Thanks,
Melanie Tucker

RE: James Holland
I will be removing the request. The records are current. He is not buried there. Your information is incorrect.

It took 1 call to verify what I was certain was correct: Mr Holland was cremated & not interred. His cremains were delivered to his wife.

I was fulfilling more than 40 requests so I dont recall specifically what the problem was. Did i say the cemetery had no record? If that is the case, are u certain he is not buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Grand Rapids (same county)?
