I am one of a line of family members that has collected family information over the years. (Fourth Generation). |
People think it odd that my wife and I enjoy walking cemeteries (especially old ones). We enjoy the history and reaching back through time into our ancestors lives. History is alive and walking amongst us!
Names that I've research (I'll share it all) Sweeney, Green, Martin, McDaniel, Ober, Dutton, Ferris, Fisher, Kinzer, McNeil.

David, thank you so much for the picture! Elmer and Sally were my husband's favorite Uncle and Aunt and they both died while he was serving in Vietnam. We are planning to go to the cemetery and this will help immensely.

Thank you so much for the photo. I wonder if there is any way to tell what the writing is on the bottom line. It is not very plain. Thanks again.

David! Thank you so very much for linking them so quickly! I think all of the James E. Kinzer and Elizabeth (Stumbaugh/Stambough) Kinzer children are now accounted for except for the two who died as infants, Clarence Kinzer (b. 10-10-1894 and d. 10-12-1894) and Elmer Kinzer (b. and d. 6-10-1886, "born dead" according to Hugh Kinzer's papers). I could not locate any memorials for either one. Do you have any ideas as to where they may be buried? Bainbridge Cemetery probably? I cannot imagine the sadness James and Elizabeth must have suffered with losing their two tiny sons.
It seems every time I search, you have been the one to add the Kinzer (and many other!) grave marker photographs I find everywhere. I credit you and your wife with such fine, fine work on documenting and photographing hundreds (thousands?) of individuals. Such fine work and many jobs well done. So many lives will be enriched by your all of your work. THANK YOUUU!! Kind regards, Bridey Light
|Jay Wright||RE: Kinzers|
I don't have any first-hand knowledge of any Kinzer-Wright connections, David, and my sense is that your Kinzer family was in the Highland Co area much longer than my particular branch of the Wright family was. I just went to RootsWeb/WorldConnect and entered Kinzer as the surname and Wright as the spouse's surname and got these hits:
Most of them aren't for Ohio, and the one (Mary Kinzer married John Wright) that is in Ohio has so little info that it's hard to tell much of anything from it.
|Crystal (Boylen) Boggs||RE: Jane Aull Ferris Dutton|
All the Ferris and Stearns photos that I have came from my 3rd great grandmother Mary Etta (Stearns) Ditto. She is the daughter of Emily (Ferris) Stearns which is William's sister.
I have lots of photos with names and lots of photos without names. Mary Etta was a very good collector of photos, diaries, and letter. Too bad half the photos do not have names on them.
If you would like to take a look at some of them I can send the to your email. They are mixed with Stearns, Ferris, and probably a few Harris.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yes, I am related to Ferris'. Mostly in the Newbury, Geauga, Ohio area but many of them moved to Michigan near Montcalm county.
Are you related to the Ferris family as well?
|Heather R. (Schmid) Satchel||ROBERT DICKEY STONE|
Thank you for letting me know the problem locating Robert Dickey's stone. Would you like me to remove the request considering the likelihood that the stone still exists is very slim? Let me know. Many thanks, and God bless, Heather R Satchel
