Ross Family in Hardin County, TN
I see you have a connection to Nancy Ross in Hardin County, TN. I believe my father Robert E. Ross's father, Jeff Ross, is also buried in the Ross Cemetery.

Jeff Ross was married to Mary Francis Brown McDaniel Ross. They had 3 children, Lillie, Emily
(Zeve, Zette, Zettie? not sure which is correct) and Will (R?). All the children carried the Ross name.

Lillie married Jack Stout. Their children were Franklin Ross, Jimmie Ross, (Not sure why they are Rosses) and Mrs.Lecter Webb and Mrs. Mildred Havner.

Emily (Zette) also married a Stout (brother of Jack Stout?)and she had 2 children. My father, Robert E. Ross, and Willie Pearl Ross (male). (I believe it was Willie Pearl's obit that mentioned his mother's name as Emily Ross Stout. This is what I think. There is nothing I can find that says so. There is a son and a daughter with the last name of Stout that lists Emily Ross Stout as their mother. The time element makes it possible.
But there is no mention of Robert or Willie Pearl.

Will Ross married Myrtle Hart and had they had 5 sons:Homer, Clyde, Hubert, Vance, Marvin and 3 daughters: Mrs. J.T. Beasley, Mrs. Imogene Alexander (this name is my maternal grandmother's last name - No idea of a connection)and Mrs. Raynell Birmingham.

My father never mentioned a family nor relatives and no one at the time thought it odd and it was never discussed. My parents moved away when they married and I never knew any relatives other than my mother's parents, and her sister and brother. I may have met them a half dozen times all in total.

My father and mother are long dead and I am 70 years old myself. I do wonder if there was some mystery as to why I never knew my father's family or if that's what people did in the 1940's.

I hope this isn't too invasive but I do hope Nancy Ross might be a clue and you might know something of the Ross family.

Thank you for any light you may be able to shine on the subject.

Kate Hardy
Hi Suzanne

I found your name on Kate Hardy's grave information. Kate was my great aunt, sister to George Kidd. I don't know a lot about the Kidd family so if you have any information you could share with me I'd appreciate it very much. BTW, I like your name!

Thank you,
Suzanne Adams

Hi Suzanne,

We have a Wayne County connection I'm hoping you can help me with. James Madison Dickerson was my Great Great Grandfather. He was a Major in the 2nd Tennessee Mounted Infantry and Sheriff in the county from 1865-1868. Seems there is also a Cypert connection between my family and your stribling line. Guess what I'm wondering is if you have any photos of your Rex's Father, Christopher C. ?

Hi Suzanne,

I transferred the Crumps to you because you are a blood relative. I am a complete stranger. I am also trying to get many of the pages that I manage to their blood relatives if at all possible. Please consider this transfer the beginning of a beautiful journey!

Suzanne, we are having a Hittson family reunion in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Sept 7, 2014. I saw your note on Margie's memorial that you're a cousin.

Jerry Prater Alley
Thanks for the info on your Great Uncle Tom Frank Alley. I have listed his son Jerry Prater Alley on his memorial. I do not own Jerry Prater Alley's memorial. So therefore I could not list Tom Frank Alley as his father on Jerry's memorial. You will have to contact MissPat (#46913481) to have her link him to Jerry's memorial. I did link Tom Frank Alley to his parents though. Tom Frank Alley was my 1st Cousin 3 Times Removed. If you'd like I could transfer Tom Frank Alley's memorial to you.

RE: Vin Harwell
Hi Suzanne:

Many thanks for your nice note. Vin was truly a wonderful man and one of the most caring people I have ever known. Our life together was all too short, but I cherish the memories to this day and still visit his grave several times a year. Are you on the Bennett side of the family? I worked on his family tree and recall the Montague name. Vin's mother Jesse Bennett Harwell passed away last November at 87 years. Thanks again for getting in touch with me.

RE: Montagues
Thanks. Se of the Montagues (Tom and Myrah) are my relatives, as well. Myrah was my great-aunt on my mother's side.
