Bio Photo Find A Grave allows me the opportunity to combine my interest in genealogy and history with my need to get a (very little) bit of exercise.

I will gladly transfer management of any memorial that is not one of my family members. None of the memorials I've created in the San Antonio area are family members. Please let me know if you would like to assume management of any memorial I have created for your family member or close friend.

The photos I have posted on Find A Grave are intended to help document family histories. You have my permission to reproduce any of my photos for your personal, non-commercial use provided you treat the deceased and their memorials with respect.

Man, I really don't know where I got that from. All I can think of is that I had multiple tabs open and clicked on the wrong one. Sorry! (and thanks for catching that!)

RE: Walters
I'm not sure what that would entail. Are you related to the Walter family and/or descendants?

A question for you
Hi, Mel
I was working on Lino Lombrano and his wife, Petra Gonzales. Lino is buried in the Ruiz-Herrera cemetery and presumably Petra is buried in the cemetery referred to as Paso de los Garzas Cemetery. (Bexar County, Texas)
So my question is this, I keep hearing about this latter cemetery, but I have not been able to locate such a named cemetery.
But I was wondering if in your travels around that area to do documentation, if you came across a separate cemetery with the name Paso de los Garzas? If so, do you recall where it was? I actually don't see it in the Find a "Grave Cemetery Lookup", so I don't know if it was a defunct cemetery and was perhaps impassible.
Any thoughts???
Warm regards,
Theresa H.

RE: Ruiz-Herrera Cemetery
Well, I must not have counted correctly or I wasn't where I thought I should have been.
Rather than me wasting anymore of your time, let's just go with the transfer as I go along.
I might want to add some bios to some relatives later and then I suppose that would mean
bothering you again a second time on the same person.
I'll try to send them to you a few at a time. It probably won't happen everyday anyway because sometimes I get stumped. Lots of folks with the same names!
Thank you!

Ruiz-Herrera Cemetery
Wow! I take that back! I just figured out how to see how many sites you documented at each cemetery. There must be close to 1000 that you have documented in the R-H cemetery! That is unreal. I've been on the property a couple of times and never thought that it could possibly hold that many grave sites. Well, I think it might take me the better part of a lifetime figuring out all of those relationships. Ha! Ha! HA!
So what if we just transfer over as I figure them out? Would that be OK?

Ruiz-Herrera family cemetery edits
Hi Mel,
Well, the problem is this - they could for the most part ALL be my relatives in some way shape or form as that is a family cemetery. I am a descendant of both the Ruiz's and Herreras for whom the cemetery was originally named. The land was originally deeded to the Herreras for the specific purpose of a cemetery. My grandmother was a daughter of the family to whom it was deeded.
I don't know how much of a hassle it might be for you to do edits for me because I've never been asked to do an edit from someone else. Basically, I am trying to link families because since I am working on our trees (just started a year and a half ago), I just thought it would be easier for other family genealogists to see who is whose parent or spouse or sibling.
I don't know how many memorials you personally put together there. If it might be easier for you to do a transfer, by all means, let's do that. I won't know how many edits I might send your way until I get through each one of my families on the tree. Luckily there aren't that many souls interred there!
I'll let you decide to transfer as we go along, or transfer all that you set up there, or put up with my edit requests. Let me know what your preference is. I am OK with anything you decide. Thank you so much for your thoughtful consideration.
Kind regards, Theresa

Ruiz-Herrera Cemetery Edits
Hi, Mel
I am sending to you three family edits from this cemetery for the last name of Santana. I am probably going to off and on be sending you edits as I am working on linking as many family members as I can. And I can only do this as I work on our tree and figure out who is who. But since I cannot be there in person (I live in Az), I really appreciate that you have a lot of the photos taken within the cemetery. Hope this is OK with you. Thanks again. Theresa

RE: Herbert Engle
Thanks Mel. But Herbert is a distant relation. I was tracing my great Uncle William Webb and found his son Herbert. Just wanted to connect them to round out the family. Am looking for all of William Webb's siblings.
