No, I don't have anything else which could help but feel you are correct in the informant's info on the DC looks to be a distant cousin. Sorry for the trouble.
|Alice Sanders||RE: list of children|
I was excited to read your reply ad have sent you an email with what little I know about the nine children. FYI in Martha's obit it mentioned there had been 11 children. Have you checked for any military service for Robert and Daniel?

Thank you for photographing the complete stone of Rachel May Veach, it is greatly appreciated.
I was actually doing genealogy for a friend that had the Yawman people in it when I saw how many you had and how they were missing I HAD to get them.... I also found some in MT hope I will be posting them soon I don't know if they are linked to you or not. But it was my pleasure getting that for you!
That's awesome Cuddin' Gary! So interesting how we crossed paths years ago and again now!

My Gowers are NC and TN. One of the founding families of Nashville.
We can take them back to Abel Gower (1725 NC - 1780 TN), who was murdered at Clover Bottom by Indians (who were likely my ancestors as well - go figure).
Findagrave memorial # 67700031
It's certainly possible your Gowers could be branched off his family somehow...

Awesome! Glad to know! There is a large cemetery down the stree from my house, and I've been working on all the oldest sections for several years, plus some cemeteries in AR where my parents are from, documenting CSA vets and our family.
So glad the copier has a place of honor in your home, it is truly unique, and an important part of your family history!
