Blaine Corman
Do you know if Jan Corman is still alive? I thought it was strange that she wasn't mentioned in Blaine's obituary.

Viola Ruff/ Edna Martin
Viola Ruff was my great grandmother. The pictures you have of Viola And Charles Williams is mix up with John martin and Edna. I added the three daughters of Viola-- Lola Williams my grandmother, Dorothy Ruff, and Kathryn Ruff.

Mary Frances Pate Portefield
Jon Blake,
Was Mary Frances Porterfield your grandmother? She and my dad were 1st cousins. Their dad's were brothers. Did she have old pictures of her dad's family? I am trying to locate all the old Pate photos has I can for making a Pate Book. I live in Arkansas where her family is buried. I met Mary Frances a couple of times, I guess. Would like to get in contact with her family. If she is your relatives, please email me at I have the family tree. I have worked on it for 40+ years now.

RE: incorrect cemetery
Thanks! I'm happy to take over. They are Florelle Lafaye Duplantier and Armand Joseph Duplantier. They are currently listed as Metairie cemetery, but in fact are buried in Hope Mausoleum.

Thanks again!

incorrect cemetery
Hi Jon, I noticed you have created pages for two of my grandparents, however they are incorrectly listed as buried in Metairie Cemetery. How should I contact you to have this changed to the correct cemetery?

Thanks for the pronounciation assistance. It is spelled so many ways in the records I wasn't sure.

RE: Joe Ben Plocheck Memorial #96911304
Thank you Jon. I appreciate it. Since you know his widow, I have a question. How do you pronounce the last name? "Plo Check" or "Polo Check" or "Pla Check"? Or am I even close? I probably need to speak to one of the family members so I can get it right. I've found so many interesting names and people working on this book!

Thanks again,

Joe Ben Plocheck Memorial #96911304
I am writing first to thank you for all your work on I appreciate so much the efforts of the "gravers" who post to the website.

Second, I am working on a book about the Maywald Family of Texas. My grandmother was Eva Maywald, born in Plantersville, and I've been a genealogist for 30+ years.

Anyway, I'd like to get your permission to include the photograph you took of Joe Ben "JB" Polochek so that I can include it in the book. Once I finish "fleshing out" the information I have on the Polochek bunch, I'd be happy to send you a family group sheet if you are interested. I don't know if you are related or not. Joe Ben is the child of Joseph Polochek & Annie Mary Maywald Polochek. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you.
