Thank you for your posting. I was comparing the picture of the gravestone with the listed date of birth and I believe the gravestone inscription for age is actually 31, not 81. Check out the 8 and the 3 in 1834. That would make the date of birth between May 1802 and May 1803. This corresponds to an individual from my Ancestry.com research, James Hewitt Bugbee, born 7 Nov 1802 in Vermont, died 10 May 1834 in Plymouth, Mass, aged 31.
