I enjoy spending free time in cemeteries and doing genealogy. I also collect antique books and photographs of all varieties. |
These are my main surnames of interest; please contact me to exchange info/photos: Mayville, Diebold, Star[c]k, Walsh, Hurst, Tice, Walter, Emmerich, Hess, Hagemann, Brandmueller, and Liebenow, among many others.
Check out my Brick Walls. Maybe you can help?
-Please credit me if using my photos elsewhere!! This includes Ancestry.com, your personal genealogy page, etc. I don't mind if you use my photos, just please cite your source!
-Please submit any additions, corrections or transfer requests via the "edit" tab on each individual memorial. I add memorials one at a time (not in mass uploads as some do) in an effort to increase accuracy, but no one is perfect.
-I have no problem transferring as long as they are not my family; however, I do not support "memorial collectors." The goal of F-A-G is not to "own" memorials for each member of your family, but to make sure each memorial is as accurate as possible.
-The goal of F-A-G is also to accurately document final resting places. It's frowned upon to create hundreds or thousands of memorials with "burial unknown" and then make no effort to find their actual burial locations. Please DO NOT, after finding my properly placed memorials, transfer your "burial unknown" into the proper cemetery and then contact me to tell me to remove a "duplicate." Per F-A-G guidelines: if it's more than 30 days after you created your memorial, your memorial is the one that should be deleted.
My most meaningful work on Find-a-grave are the cemeteries I have fully photographed / transcribed. These cemeteries are special because (in most cases) I am related to many buried there:
-Lawrence/Cady Cemetery (Brown Co., WI 2006-07)
-Saint Louis Catholic Cemetery (Caledonia, WI 2009-10)
-Fairview Cemetery (Greenleaf, WI, 2010)
-St. James Catholic Cemetery (Oak Creek, WI 2010)
-Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Cemetery (Westport, WI, 2012)
& the following portions of Resurrection Cemetery in Madison, WI:
Section 1, Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 (2012-13)
Section 2, Blocks 5, 6, & 7 (2014)
Section 3, Blocks 11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 23, 31, 32, 33 & 42 (2013-14)
Section 4, Blocks 11, 12, 13, 21 & 22 (2014)
I have photographed the following but haven't uploaded yet:
Section 2, Blocks 1 & 2 (2015)
Section 5 (2014)
Section 6 (2014)
Section 8 (2014)

Hi Jade, No, I'm not related. I'm just documenting the whole cemetery in my spare time. About 8000 names total. Jim

The edit has been made so the memorials may be merged.
|John Uhlman||RE: Katherine (Piersch) Bingen|
Unfortunately I have no photos of the Bingen family yet.
|Bob Bardo||RE: Mary Bronson|
Thank you, Jade, for taking and posting the photos of the gravestones for Lynette Anderson, Mary Bronson, and Frances Riley, and for finding out that the death date for Mary Bronson has never been put on her gravestone.
I appreciate your effort!
|LZ||RE: Donald Moran photo request|
His relatives are buried in the cemetery. I call the office and see if they will give me the location. Thanks!

Jade - Just wanted to have you check to see if this is a duplicate memorial. In 2010 there was #52692387 Martha C. "Mattie" Shackleford entered by another person. I believe it is the same person. I have other family members to connect and I noticed it. Thanks.

I would like to take a minute, to thank you for all the running around in the Resurrection cemetery. I have recently sent in a request to link Leo Harrington to his parents. They are the following: Daniel and Mary Harrington. Was I wrong?

Thanks, Jade, for taking the time to photograph Eugene's tombstone.
Are you back in Wisconsin now?
|J.F. Annen||RE: Annens?|
Jade: Yes, I goofed up on that one. They did not accept it I think as it was in error.
Iam a grand daughter of John Annen 1855-1932 , son of Wilhelm Annen and Margretha Konz. I started my genealogy so long ago all that is available now was not then, and I like the Findagrave so much because it give so much info and I like to connect those I can. I think I have asked you a question long ago but don't remember what about. It is always bugged me that the little girl Maria of Nickolaus and Margaretha Nilles seems to hv just disappeared. Also, Mathias Annen 1859-1921 last child of Wilhelm and Margretha died in 1921 and was buried at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery as far as I know but he doesn't appear in FindAGrave, so I cant be sure.
Do you have anything on him in all your findings??
He might now have a marker , just don't know.
Thanks for your msg. I do have that Wilhelm's mother was Magalena Bernardi and that his two sisters Maria and Magvalena are buried in Germany also. Thank you so much..
