Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love doing my family's genealogy. I am looking up Terry, Anderson, Vunovich, Derrington, James, Strika, Greenlee or Greenlees, Aldens and the Lynn or Linn, and Dowdy Families. I have learned a lot by reading the different gravestones.

Please visit these Memorials:
CJ Meek, Tinker Nicholas Vunovich, Joel Anton Robinson and
Alex James Vunovich.

For the people who send me information and corrections for my memorials I thank you.

Annie Ilean Dowdy Sullivan Carter
per obituaries of daughters, her name is recorded in this order. hopefully a descendant will eventually search and be able to confirm her parents as Jeff and Rose Dowdy, once again, several mistakes and conflicts of data. please be sure of edits before sending them to me, because I shall not change unless I have proof. I will not link until I am certain it is accurate. happy horizons, KIM

Ilean Annie Dowdy
I've been working with Find A Grave volunteer, Kim, on the question of the parents of Annie Dowdy. I had written to you asking if you knew who they might be.

It turns out that Jefferson D and Rosa Eaker Dowdy had a daughter, born abt 1894, whose name was Annie. She is enumerated with them at the 1900 census as Annie; her middle initial is indexed as an 'L', but in looking at it on the actual page of the census, it could just as well be an 'I'.

Jefferson Davis Dowdy is the son of Samuel Allen and Elizabeth J Dowdy.

The Annie with Jeff and Rosa at the 1900 census was born Jan 1893 and her grave marker has her year of birth as 1894.

According to Kim, Annie is buried near Jeff and Rosa Dowdy, which is certainly a good clue. I've gone ahead and added her in as one of their children.

Please let me know what you think.

RE: Thank
I can go back to the Johnson cemetery and give you better info about the James family because the photos I took was from 3 years ago and just now added them but I still think there was only 3 infant stones but after looking at that the one infant was premature then I got to thinking maybe Charles Jr was one of the 3 stones since he was a baby that was born but I have no clue about what happened anyway if I get ime then I might try and go back over to the cemetery if I remember where it is by next week end if so maybe I can tell you more on what it looks like from what I see from the cemetery point of view.

RE: hi
You should be able to click on the link on my Findagrave profile page, but if not, here it is:

I actually now have 72 county websites for Kansas -- I'm trying to get pages online for all 105 counties. However, Clay and Dickinson are my main counties of interest. Let me know if you find anything of interest--and if you don't find anything, tell me about that, too. I am constantly updating the pages.

Please use any picture that I have, I don't mind. I'll have to check on Leonard & Annabelle. In all honesty, I have not added as much to Bob's side of the family. I never heard anything about Sarah having John killed. He died in the Rev War from wounds suffered at the Battle for Atlanta(?) or someplace in Georgia. There has been much speculation as to whether John was brought back to Camden for burial. Bob and I went there and looked and looked for his grave. We even went to the library, who had Rev War burials on microfilm. We did not find anything at all. I will check on the date of John's death. Sometimes, I have used "other trees on" I have used your tree to add some of the relatives.

RE: How
When searching for Civil War records I always begin with the National Park Service site, Civil War Soldier Sailor System. Then if I find the man I go to Fold 3 and pull his service records. I have a sub. and so does the library I work at - if you need any records just send me a note, on here or email.

Shawna you do very good work. I can not imagine how long it took you to put in all those Anderson Relatives. I have been writing to several different people and the GA may have belonged with someone else I was writing to. I have over 60,000 family names in my database. It can be hard to keep track of them. I have an index card file for names, otherwise I would not always remember who belonged to whom. You have always been so cooperative in making corrections as needed. I had made my share of errors through the years. Particularly on my Renfro side of the family.

Keep up the good work
