My wife and I have been doing genealogy work for many years and with the help of many we have made great strides in research. If you are visiting our site and see a link to any family tombstone listed in our virtual cemeteries, please email. All others listed are not our personal family lines, information was gathered from other sources.
Please feel free to add photos. If you have other biographical information or family links to add that we have created we would be happy add that information or transfer management if you will: 1) Provide how you are related directly and 2) show that you are involved with Find a Grave by creating several of your own memorials, not just trying to collect family members into one name (you can easily do this by creating a Virtual Cemetery and add those family names you want to include.)
You can see videos of certain cemeteries and family sites at: www.youtube.com/user/familytree60
If you take information from any grave site or cemetery please site your source when available. Also, become a volunteer and work on a cemetery near you. Your work will benefit so many others.
Thank you for your help. With all of us working together we can do so much more with our family histories.
Have a blessed day. Yours in research, SOF <>< | |

 | RE: Alexander and Stanley Cemeteries Hello Scott & Priscilla!
You are correct, there are some duplicates. I assure you, I did not create duplicates on purpose. But, I am certainly confused now as to where the cemetery actually lies. Henry Co., GA's USGenWeb Project pages shows the Filmore Stanley aka Alexander Cemetery to be in Henry County. They also note the following: "Filmore Stanley Family -There are no Filmore's buried here. It was originally the Stanley-Parker Cemetery, later changed to the Filmore Stanley Cemetery and now is being referred to by the park service as the Alexander Cemetery. The cemetery is located in the Panola State Park." The map on the Rockdale County Website shows the location of the cemetery to be in Rockdale County. Both maps for the cemeteries on FindAGrave are essentially the same location. The photos match as well. I have no problem removing the duplicates that I created, regardless of which county the cemetery actually lies within. There are headstone photos on some of the memorials I created as well as you have on some of yours. However, my only problem is that I hate to remove memorials where another contributor has taken the time to visit the cemetery, photograph headstones and add them to the memorials as well as creating new memorial with headstone photos that don't seem to be listed on the county websites. I would suggest that you contact FindAGrave Contributor wHerndon.com (#46814430) and see what he can tell you about his visit and his finding additional burials there. I'm sure that we can come to an agreement as to how we handle the duplicates. As you stated, yours were created in 2007, mine were in 2008. The others memorials, that are not duplicates of yours, we'll just need to be sure they are in the correct location county-wise.
Your suggestions?
