Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.|
I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.
Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.
The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.
When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.

|Carolyn Gray||Daniel Kelsey|
Just noted duplicate 54077736 I made in June 2010 of your site 52470395 made in May 2010 for Daniel.
When burial is "unknown" it frequently happens that the site will not show up for researchers. Would you be willing to transfer your site to me?
There is so much additional info on the newer site, including the actual burial info and photos.
The Grays of my Connecticut line married into the Kelsey line at least 3 times making me many times (complicatedly) related.

Thank you for transferring him to me! I will make sure he is reconnected back with his family! - Lisa
I have emailed you several additions to memorials. Do you want me to compile them all and send you one email? Let me know.

|broughps||Ezra Goodwin information|
The death date for Ezra Goodwin Find A Grave Memorial# 82066662 is incorrect. As you an clearly see from the tomb stone the correct date is 17 June 1867 not 10 Jan 1848.

|Debi J||Mary Perkins Bradbury|
I went to Amesbury Mass July 19-Aug 4 2014 and contacted Bartlett Cemetery which says that they have no record of Mary Perkins Bradbury in either Bartlett Cemetery or Union Cemetery record databases. I also spent 3 days walking the grounds looking at every headstone in the place and couldn't find Mary. She died in 1700 in Salisbury, and it is odd that she'd be buried in Amesbury if she died in Salisbury, especially if her husband Thomas who died in 1694 is already buried in Salisbury. Back in the 1600's that would have been a big distance. I've got the number of Salisbury Colonial Burying Ground, and will try to give it a call later. Next year when I go back to Amesbury, I'll go to Ferry Road and look for myself. Almost all of the Perkins were in Hampton New Hampshire and Salisbury Massachusetts.

|chris ||Woodman Cemetery photos|
Linda, I regret to tell you I have temporarily deleted the photos I took for those memorials you made for the Woodman Cemetery in Durham, NH. There is another member who is misrepresenting the cemetery with memorials of people who cannot be proven to be there (no headstones to verify these interments; I have been to the cemetery numerous times and photographed everyone there), and is now plagiarizing some of my photos. I have written to Find A Grave and hope to have a resolution to this problem so I can repost the pictures. I hope for your understanding. Thank you.
