For the past two years Ken has been unable to continue his FAG work he really loved. I have 'adopted' his memorials and have been making links, doing necessary corrections, additions, etc. With Ken's death on March 28th, I am now going to continue as best I can with his memorials. I plan to honor his memory by keeping his name on any new memorials I may add. |
On this note I would be glad to make corrections, additions, relationship links, etc. upon request. I will also be glad to transfer management of a memorial according to the following guidelines by Find A Grave.
"Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS, THIS WOULD BE YOUR SIBLINGS, PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, AND GREAT-GRANDPARENTS. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related the the memorial and may not want to make the transfer.
Also, please provide memorial numbers for those transfers you are requesting and your relationship with them.

All I can tell you is that I made an effort to photograph any legible graves in the area. I especially make an effort to photograph husband and wife pairs.
Could I have missed his wife's grave? It is possible. It is also possible her stone was broken or missing; North Burial Ground has a lot of damage and vandalism.
Sorry I don't have more information than that. You can call the cemetery and ask them to look up records in their big book.

Records show Sophrenia died in Orland,Glen County, CA on 25 Feb 1958. She was married to William Asbury Mynatt, he is buried in the Orland Cemetery in CA. Perhaps she is buried next to him.

As you can see from the photo of the cemetery there is literally nothing left of the cemetery but about 10 stones. I imagine the size of it that there were more earlier in life but there is hardly anything there now. You may try to ask at the library (Lori Fields) is in charge of the genealogy dept there. She may have records there that can answer your question.
I recently sent you some addition information for a memorial that you own. This was done through the edits tab. If you have not done this before, after you log in you will see LOGGED IN AS ----. Click on that, then click on the EDITS tab that comes up next. The information for your memorial will be there. Thanks for you contribution to Find-A-Grave

Ruth, thank you so much for accepting the information I gave you.
Bless you for going forward at what must be a very difficult time to continue and keep Kenneth's work alive on this site. A big thank you for taking good care of his memorials.

Ruth, without finding my records, I used the 1910 St. Claire Co. Ill. census and his Harris Co. Tx. death record State #27902 for 1941

I was wondering how you managed to connect this individual born in 1840 to a mother who died in 1837?
