I will happily transfer memorials to family members. When I am working an old cemetery for the first time, I get as many photos as I can while I am there. Consequently, I have many photos waiting for family members to discover! I am always thrilled when I am contacted by a descendant who wishes to manage a memorial. |

William Archer and Martha Elizabeth Richey Fleming are my grandparents. James Taylor Fleming and Melissa May Tetrick Fleming are my great-grandparents. John Mason Richey and Anna Workman Gilmore Richey are also ancestors. Unless someone else already has taken over, can you please transfer them to me?
|L. Forbes||RE: Mark L Olds, Circleville, OH|
I got the information from
and I am not any relation at all, just a long line of the Olds family from close to where I live we are trying to link. I thank you for the offer though.
|L. Forbes||Mark L. Olds|
Melanie I sent you the obituary of Mark Olds but I see the date of death is different in the obit than on the gravestone which is very clear.
I got the obit from a genealogy website of his family and parents.
We are trying to link families of the Olds.
|L. Forbes||Anna Maria Olds|
I am confused, maybe you can help. I found this:
Anna Olds (Carolus)
Anna Maria Carolus was born on 7 March 1805. She married Edson Baldwin Olds, son of Joseph Olds and Sally Whitney, on 1 June 1824. Anna Maria Carolus died on 22 December 1859 at age 54.
Edson Baldwin Olds
I looked at the photo of her stone. Is there another Anna Olds I am missing in the cemetery?
|Leigh Hinrichs||RE: Sarah Garrett Riegel 1823-1876|
That's very interesting Melanie.
Sarah's in-laws are in the
Old Lutheran Cemetery
John GEORGE Riegel SR #49156516 and
Elizabeth Czetalmire Riegel #49156517
Sarah Garrett Riegel #83055019 and husband
John GEORGE Riegel Jr #83054984 are
both at Amanda Township Cemetery in
Fairfield Ohio, as well as son Enoch #41515710
I wondered why Sarah would be back in PA with her in-laws...maybe
she was moved, as you suggest.

I found Sarah's grave #83055019 in Ohio
The grave in Old Lutheran #49156517 is an
error and should be deleted.
Leigh Riegel :)

Re; Johnson (John) Lape: He was Aged 13 when he died. He'd cut himself dying from blood poisioning. His obituary was published in Jackson's Union Herald Newspaper 8/22/1889. His Grave Section A, Lot #24. FYI: His brother Charles Lape born in Pickaway Cty, OH 5/21/1881 died 09/24/1916 and is buried next to Charles as are both his parents.

Johnson (nickname) Loeb was born in Humberg, Germany immigrating to America with his parents John Henry & Catherine Holchein Loeb Circa 1880 settling in Pickaway County, Ohio. The name Loeb was changed to LAPE like so many other surname changes. Johnson died of infection caused by his cutting his leg calf wiyth a knife, which cut becsme infected. Yhis family lived in the country fatr from any doctor and hospitals. Infection killed many as the drugs and treatments of today weren't known in 1889.
The family lived in Jackson where John Lape died. Thank you for composing his Find A Grave memorial. I am a Lape family ancestor/hidtorian & recurring Contributor #39265068. Happy holidays to you.
