RE: Gill Photo requests
Dear B.C.B. : :=)

You are so quick! Your photo shows the monument for John Brooke Gill (1826-1916, #97415845, middle initial on his F.A.G. memorial should be "B." not "R." as your photo shows). He shares the monument with his wife Maria Perry Gill. John is the son of Richard Gill and Ann Brook(e) Gill (#129911626). John and Maria are the parents of Ermida Gill (#129911628, note: your transcription on her F.A.G. memorial should read "John & Maria" rather than "John & Marcia"). They also are the parents of Samuel Gill (1863-1947, #132835719) who married Alberta Quantz (3 Oct 1965-1952, #132835720)on 2 Jan 1884.

Thank you for all your work creating these memorials and photographing monuments!
I am related to the Gills through my mother, Dorothy Jane Gill Ralston (#74642506). John Brooke Gill was her great-grandfather (my 2nd-great grandfather). I saw that Quantz was one of your family connections. Are you also related to the Gills?

Thanks again,

Rob Ralston

RE: Mann Cemetery
Thank you for your efforts--you reminded me of my first experience "graving" with my grandmother and her cousin. I was ten years old. The "cemetery" was about 8 miles down a couple of unmaintained dirt roads, on private property. I'm sure it originally was dry ground, but when we were there, it was quite swampy. I slipped and almost fell into a sunken grave. My grandmother yelled at me for disrespect, and made me go sit in the car alone until they were done. Seemed like hours. Sandy
