Bio Photo Geneology and my love of photography are joined together in documenting and connecting families here and past. My brother helps clean up old and unvisited cemeteries in Montague county where I was born. My sister and I are continuing the geneology started by our mother tracing the family of: ALIG, BASS, BAYER, BEHL, BEST, BEYER, CLER, EISENMENGER, FETSCH, FLUSCHE, GILLES, KLEISS, HOENIG, HARTMAN, HAUSMANN, HETTINGER, KAPPES, KOELZER, KOBLITZ, NEU, NEWMAN, OTTO, ROEDER, RUND, SCHAFER, SCHWEIGHART, SOMMERS, VOGEL, WALTERSCHEID, and their descendents.

Benjamin Franklin said: "Show me your burial grounds and I'll show you a measure of the civility of a community."

A good character is the best tombstone.
Those who loved you will remember.
Carve your name on hearts, not on marble.

J. Vogel, would you consider transferring your memorial of my grandparents to me to manage? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

Hi! Thanks for starting a memorial to my grandparents! My grandmother's date of birth was July 17th, not the 23rd. We're not really sure how Tyngsborough Memorial Cemetery got that date wrong, but it is wrong on the records there. She was my mom's mom, and it was definitely the 17th. Her son Louie is now buried there too (his ashes) and I've linked him. FYI my grandmother's middle name was Lillian and she was called "Jean" by everyone. My grandfather's middle name was Frank, and he was called "Windy."

I would be very grateful if you would be able to inquire regarding the Chesser family.

Thank you and have a wonderful New Year!

Minnie Chesser

I see that you maintain the memorial for Minnie Chesser, who is buried in Forestburg, Montague County, Texas.

This line goes back to a Nancy Kate Chesser.

Are the parents of Nancy Kate Chesser known?

I am stuck on a James M. Cheser, born 1832/3 in Georgia and one of his daughters, Fannie Margaret Cheser Mead, was born in Forestburg, Montague County, Texas in 1883. James M. Cheser is noted as being an original land owner in Montague County, Texas.

I do not know why he relocated from Georgia to Texas and because it would be so unusual for two individuals of this particular surname with over 38 different spellings to just happen to end up in the same tiny, unincorporated town in Texas, I thought I would ask if you had any further information on this line, as it might help to solve my brickwall and aid numerous researchers of this surname.

RE: memorials
Jeanne, I understand about the memorials. Yes, I have some changes that need to be made to some. I have John Andrew Jackson Moon's memorial who was married to Angiamonia Moon. He had 10 children, but only 5 were with Angia. Her name as you have it there is from the census I believe. Angia Naomi Warner Moon is her name. I think the census taker ran it all together to write it down as he did. I have yet to find a L in her name as you have it also.
John's first wife with whom he had five children, died and then he married Angia. His first wife died in KY and probably buried there, but I can't find her. Her name is Louisa Mayme. I also think her last name is Warner. The older sister to Angia, but I have yet to prove that part. I am going to make her a Find A Grave page to attach her to John and their children. I am related to John.
I am trying to get all of the Moon's connected
and that is quite a job!!!
John and Louisa's children are James Winfield, Mitchell Franklin, Evander, Adrian Ivy, and Clyde Elmer.
John and Angia's children are Ella Mae, Mary Lou, Austin Lee, Regina Lou, and John Lawton.

Thanks, Mike Keep up the good work.
