Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired from the Navy, and have retired IN 2001 after 35 years in Law Enforcement. A couple of my hobbies are the documentation and photographing of the tombstones of the Woodmen of the World and the associated fraternal associations, and the photography and documentation of the Civil War veterans headstones where ever I come across them. I had ancestors who fought on both sides of the Civil War. My great Grandfather (Fathers side) fought Confederate (Texas Cav) and his twin brother fought Union side (Colorado Cavalry). My great Great grandfather (Mothers side) fought For the Union from Ohio. I actually actively search for both of the above mentioned types of tombstones in cemeteries where ever I happen to be. My wife usually accompanies me and assists me greatly in these hobbies.

If you have a better quality photo then the one I have posted I will not be offended if you post it.

I'll be more then glad to transfer any memorials, except for my family, to anyone who wishes them, just write and ask.

RE: Morris--Dreamland Cemetery
I went back to the cemetery yesterday and saw the other marker that you added. I see why I missed it the first time. So glad to see our veterans honored!

RE: Morris--Dreamland Cemetery
Thank you, Jim. I appreciate that. That cemetery IS work to find people. But it is exciting when you finally come across a headstone and say "here he is!"

Are you related to this man. I have researched this family for years and have never seen the Jr. on his name until I saw the tombstone picture. Would like to learn more about him if you are know were the Jr. came from.

RE: Henry Parscal
You're very welcome Jim and thank you for the work you do, especially with the veterans. You've captured many of the civil war vets and it's not very often I find one that you've missed.

Jim, I know you always check and believe this is a first as I don't ever recall running across one before. This is one of those unfortunate cases where the name was misspelled in the burial records and a memorial created with the misspelled name a year prior. I believe the guidelines indicate that the first memorial created is the original even if the memorial is created with a misspelled name.

I'd be happy to remove my photo if you'd like to use yours instead.

William Wright photo
Hi Jim,

In regards to your suggestion:

The Willard wright photo that is on this WILLIAM H. WRIGHT is not the correct photo and the dates on the stone do not match up with the dates on the entry. Can you please remove the photo from this entry.

Unfortunately I am unable to remove a photo that I didn't place onto the memorial. You would need to contact the person that submitted the photo and ask them to remove it. Their name should be listed directly below the photo.

Thank you

RE: sebek
Okay thanks anyway. I will be posting a more comprehensive list and photos from Sunnyside in the next few months, so let me know if you come up with anything or if I can help you find anyone in relation to Victor/Cripple Creek/Teller County.

RE: sebek
Hello, I just found your message 2 years later! Are you related to Mr. Sebek? What is your connection? I'm doing a lot of research on the prior residents of Victor so would appreciate your input. Hope to hear from you soon.

Joseph Gray (Gigray)
I have sent through some edits for your memorial of Joseph Gray in Linn Grove Cemetery IN Greeley. There is no Joseph G Gray buried in Linn Grove. He is Joseph Gigray. The stone is damaged and the I in his last name is missing. I do have documentation of this and have checked with the cemetery..
