|My wife and I have been doing genealogy research on both of our families since we retired in 1990. |
My lines include (McKay, Cobb, Long, Matney, George, Benefield, Latch). All of my family lines were in the U.S. as far back as I can trace (early 1700's). My sirname migrated from VA to OK via TN, GA, AL, and AR. On my mothers side they migrated from OH to OK via IL and MO.
My wife's lines include:(Skaggs, Gilreath). Her family migrated from KY, SC, and GA to OK. We are willing to share any information we have.
We also take cemetery photos of our family stones as well as for tombstones for cemeteries in our area.

Thanks for the information. Corrections have been made.
Thanks for the pictures of the Hembree stones at Forest Park Lawndale and the plot info. I kept meaning to call the cemetery office to get that plot info but hadn't gotten around to it.

Please do not use chalk on headstones or upload headstone photos that have chalk on them. Here is our FAQ on the matter: Unless you are related to the interred on the headstone in question, DO NOT do anything to the headstone.
Gravestones should never be cleaned with anything but water and a soft brush. Slate gravestones from the Revolutionary era and Pre-revolutionary era are best left alone due to their delicate nature and tendency to erode.
Never apply bleach, ammonia, shaving cream, chalk, flour, baking soda, cornstarch, firm pressure or use anything abrasive. Do not post photos of recently chalked or shaving-creamed headstones.
Consult a professional before any attempt to clean a headstone is made.

Hi, could you please transfer memorial 15493827 to me. She is my aunt on my mothers side. It would mean a lot to us.

Do you have any info on Ludy Cherwak who is buried in TX? We are looking to link Ludwik Cherwak, born in WI, his parents are John and Alice.
Not sure this is the right one, any info would be appreciated.

|Old Southern Belle||William Heziziah Benefield|
I have noticed that several times requests have been made to change your memorial for William "Henry" Benefield #29441504 to William "Hezikiah" Benefield. Perhaps no one offered proof of his name before so I offer the following link to his death certificate:
I have sent an edit to you from his memorial, please accept it this time. Nearly all his children have been or are waiting to be linked, but they are waiting for the name to be changed because their father and Mandy's husband was William Hezikiah 'Hez' Benefield. He shares his marker with Mandy so it is awkward to have another mans name on the memorial.
Thank you for your cooperation. It is deeply appreciated.

Hello Mr. McKay.
I see that you have taken on the task of maintaining memorial #14854318 for Gussie Amanda Hutchinson Arnold who is buried in Field Store Cemetery in Waller County. She was the last wife of my paternal grandfather, and, as such, was my father's stepmother.
It very strongly appears that no one in the Hutchinson family is left her remembers her. With that in mind, it is my hope that you will be willing to transfer management of her memorial to me. I remember her very well although I was only age 12 when she passed away in a Navasota hospital.
If you are willing to transfer this memorial to me, I promise you that I will maintain it with the TLC it deserves, at least as long as I have left to me, and I intend to celebrate my 100th birthday in another 24 years!
I look forward to hearing from you.
My findagrave.com contributor number is 46498020.
Betty Arnold Henderson
Thank you for the correction and for all that you do for family members.

Thank you for all the research you have put on here about the McKays. John Troit was my grandfather. I have been trying to trace our family tree and have found he was the youngest of 10 children. This memorial to him is how my research began. So again, thank you.
Could you please transfer some of the Callas' to me? My father, Paul Callas #52918723. My grandfather, Andrew Callas #52918699. My Aunt, #52930520.
Please let me know if you need any further information.
