Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been taking photos of headstones, cemetery signs, and churches for many years and lived in these counties my entire life: Ashley,Bradley and Union County. My family is buried in several cemeteries in all three counties. My Grandfather Poole is buried in Pulaski County. I was surprised and happy to see several of my photos posted on this site. I moved to North Arkansas recently in 2009 between Rose Bud and Heber Springs.

Helping people connect with family is rewarding.

I will transfer any memorials I have made to anyone's family member.

I am researching the Pool, Poole, Langston, Smith, Vines, Gorman, and Johnson families that settled in South Arkansas.

William Hollis
Nancy Poole
My 2nd great grandfather Rufus Hollis married a Nancy Pool(e) in 1843. She may have died early in their marriage as I found another marriage record for Rufus in 1845 to a Martha Powell.
I believe Nancy Pool(e) may have been related to Hardy Keele Poole in some fashion because Rufus was a close neighbor of Hardy on the 1850 census for Union, AR.
Looking for anyone with family history of this Pool(e) family.
Like the Pooles, my Rufus Hollis was from Fairfield SC but I do not yet know who his father was. They may have even traveled together from SC to GA and then to AR.
Thank you.

Lucy Jane Poole Evans
Just ran across this page and wanted to say a quick thank you for your research and pictures. Lucy Jane Poole was my gg grandmother and I'm just browsing sites out of curiosity. She and EM Evans had a son, BB Evans who married my great grandmother, Grace Clare Evans. She wrote a book on many of these families ( Poole , Evans , etc.). I'm always amazed at the number of siblings in these families.

How do I process memorial edits I have received?
From your 'Profile' page, select the 'Edits' tab. The tab will display the number of edits you currently have pending. If the number is more than 25, the number will be displayed in red.

'Pending Edits I need to review' will be displayed. From here, you can review the pending edits submitted to you by other members. You will see three columns. The first will be the name of the memorial which you can click on to open the memorial in a new window. The second will show you how the memorial looks currently. And the third will show you the prosed look after the edit. All edits are by default as 'Accept'. Do not click 'Process selected edits' at the bottom of the page until you are ready to approve all the edits marked 'Accept'.

Accepting the edit will update the memorial to show what is in the 'Edit' column.

Ignoring the edit will allow you to hold the memorial while you research the proposed edit.

Declining the edit will not process the update for the memorial. If you decline the edit, you must select the reason from the dropdown menu as well as leave an optional short note.

Once you have selected one of the three options for each of the edits on the page, click 'Process selected edits'. The system will begin updating the memorials with the selected updates. Wait for the page to complete before going on to the next task. [Top]
