Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the 1980's I started researching my Linn ancestors (without benefit of computer) but got busy with my sons' activities and put it on hold. In 1999 a cousin got me involved with my Steinberg ancestors and I have been going full speed ahead ever since.

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois my father obtained employment in the State of Washington, far from any relatives. My ancestors (after entering the USA)settled in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey - I want to experience first hand where and how they lived so I travel the country obtaining data, meeting people, seeing the sights and tramping cemeteries. I missed the "cousin experience" growing up and think that is why I enjoy genealogy so much -- meeting new cousins (who cares if they are 1st or 10th cousins)and sharing our family histories.

I am researching Linn, Gibson, Weir, Scott, Polk, Steinberg, Koerner, Mitten, Bennett, Switzer (Swisher), Slonaker, Shaw, Goff, Townsend, McCarty and Whitehead, Miller, Schroen, Glabe, Schafer/Schaefer/Shafer. I am also reseaching Dishon, Deshon, DeShon, Deschamps and Herrold for my two sons.

RE: Seba Arnold Linn
I think it was a mistake, whoever wrote Francis Linn. I think it is Seba Linn because of the resemblance to her marriage photo. If you like I can delete the photo, because I am not 100% sure about it.

RE: William Thomas Murphy
It's fine that you ignored it. I would have done the same until I looked into it further too. Thomas Rodman Murphy is my 3rd great grandfather and I'm am just getting started on that part of my family history. I notice that and looked further into it before I requested the edit, because I wasn't sure myself that was right or not. Thank you for letting me know why though. I do appriciate it. I will let you know when I find more on him. Thank you again

RE: Joan Grieb Hoffman
Jan,

Thank you. It is Violet Nancy Brown Linn 1906-1987 in Cedar Hill. The biography on her memorial:

Violet was the daughter of James Rhuben and Nellie Catharine (Weaver) Brown. She married John Ward Linn Dec. 13, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland.

I made GPS edits for the Griebs and Hoffmans in Rest Haven. They should be on your edits tab.--Storres

RE: Bennett
I saw you made Lavina's memorial, so I thought you might want to make Charles' too. I can do it, just wanted to give you the opportunity. Thanks, Pam

Bennett
I found Charles and Lavina Bennett in South Side yesterday. Charles doesn't seem to have a memorial yet. Do you want to make one for him since I know you are related to the Bennetts? Let me know, please.

Stone is hard to read, but thought I'd let you know so you can take a look. Thanks, Pam
