This is a photo of my ggg grandmothers grave.|
I have never seen the grave. I really appreciate the person who took the photo.
Thanks a lot.
It is my wish that I have entered someone you are looking for. If I have entered any one related to you and they are not related to me - I will be happy to transfer. My goal is not to see how many memorial I can create, but to help you find your love ones . I don't mean to offend anybody, the memorials are made so love ones can find their relatives. If I have entered anything incorrectly, I will be glad to correct.
Any and all information or pictures, I have uploaded, are meant for sharing. Family memories were meant to be passed on. I just don't understand anyone that thinks different. I think if you don't want to share, than don't put them on a public site.
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

I found that you contributed information on E. P. Russell. Do you have any information on him? I have been searching for a grandfather by that name for many years. I would really appreciate a response to this email.
Thank you for the transfer!!

Dear Mary, Just want to thank you for sharing your work on this web site. You have helped me in so many ways to piece together my family history. A ship leaves . . . I am standing by the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch, until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud, just where the sun and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "There she goes!". Gone where? Gone from my sight - that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And just as able to bear her load of living freight to her places of destination. She is not diminished in size; not in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says,"There she goes! '" , there are other eyes, eagerly watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout; "Here she comes!" ~~ All the best, Cindy
