|I got hook on genealogy after talking to my Grandfather (George E. Deskins) about the "Good Old Days" and how he had a story about everyone and everything. I started by researching only my immediate family but it has escalated to years of research, meeting wonderful people, hearing amazing stories and with much help from other dedicated researchers. After joining FAG it keeps getting better and better. |
I hope that all of realize that we all are related and should treat everyone the way we want to be treated.
My main research is on all the Deskin, Deskins and Deskines lines, but I also do Jackson and Matney
This wonderful tool of FAG is out of this world, I want to thank all the fabulous people that have help me in so many ways. I would not of had the opportunity to meet many of my relatives, as well as others if not for FAG. There is no way I can ever thank many of you, researcher before me, people willing to share info as well as photos and their lives.
I would also like to make a point, this is not a genealogical site, but it gives us a wonderful opportunity to connect our relatives, showing really how small our world is, so I hope that some that feel they don't want to transfer for whatever reason and this is your right, perhaps think that MOST of us, do not do it for numbers but because we appreciate the honor of caring for our relatives like I do. When I hear about my relatives even thou I have never met them, it's like knowing them. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for replying Sue. The reason I created a new Boyd Family Cem. is because somebody else created another memorial in the old one who doesn't belong there. That person is no longer active on Find A Grave, so I created a new Boyd Family Cem. that we could move the correct memorials into and then combine the one memorial left (Columbus Boyd) into the Columbus Boyd Cem. That is the only way that I know to do it to get the correct memorials into the correct cemeteries. I wish Find A Grave would make the process easier, but for now, we have to do it this way. Here is the link for the new Boyd Family Cem:

when I looked at the picture of the tombstone I read it as Born & Died, meaning the Dob and Dod are the same. You have no death date listed. Let me know if you agree.
I remember you having a great interest in the Deskins family tree, and thought you might like to know about the recent passing of my aunt. 154940475 is the memorial #.

I assume you are referring to memorial number 12401229. Please be specific regarding what names you need relationship information.

Sue, are you still looking for a photo of IVA DESKINS headstone at Evergreen Cemetery in Plummer Idaho? I love working with genealogy too. I recently retired and have moved to Plummer. I will try and get this photo if your still wanting it. Charlotte

Your Sybil is 150277776. The other is 100938330. I am working on this part of my family line, and just looking to accurately attach links, and adding all info that I have. Not sure, but I think I might be bugging you a few more times. :)
Thanks so much for being so kind. Terry
