*****On March 25, 2013, my father, Johnny Mar Wells passed from this earthly world to the kingdom of Heaven. I would like to thank Brian Presley for sponsoring Dad's memorial. What a blessing his kind gesture is to me. *****|
DO NOT LEAVE TRANSFER REQUESTS ON MY WALL HERE. PLEASE SEND AN EDIT TO ME. IF YOU LEAVE A REQUEST OF TRANSFER HERE, IT WILL BE DELETED. SORRY TO HAVE TO BE THIS WAY, BUT IT'S MUCH EASIER TO RECEIVE AN EMAIL. ALSO, PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE PERSON. IF I AM NOT RELATED, I WILL TRANSFER TO YOU IF DONE PROPERLY.
As of 2014, I am trying to correct Findagrave contributor DKBs errors.
***I am currently researching every memorial I have to find any information that can make the memorial more valuable to others. As of 06/06/14, research is complete at
Trigg County Cemeteries:
Alexander Cunningham Cemetery
Alfred Herndon Cemetery
Bethel Church Cemetery
Blanks Cemetery (All 3)
Little Mill aka Bacon Cemetery
Christian County Cemeteries
Bainbridge Grove Cemetery
It's a long process, but I feel it's well worth it. If I have made any errors, please let me know.***
I do not know why people have to be so mean and cruel on here. I am not a mean person. I do the things I do on here to help. Making sure that people are buried in the correct places, trying to make sure there are no duplicate memorials...I am only here to find my family, but spend countless hours helping others - BECAUSE IT IS WHAT I ENJOY DOING. If you've not stepped foot in Christian County or Trigg County, then don't assume that you know more about a cemetery.
Family names- Stewart, Turner, Wells and Boren Families from the Christian County/Trigg County, KY Area. Those names lead me to Goodwin, Haydon, Larkins, Atwood and so many more in the Trigg County area. And from Smith County, TN the Murray/Gibbs Family. The Murray line has led me to the Gross, Madden, Hewitt, Ferguson, Blossom, Roe and so many more names....
I am from Christian County, Kentucky. I lived in Cerulean, Gracey, and Hopkinsville my entire life until 15 years ago when I moved to Tennessee.
So everyone understands my memorials I enter...I am not a NUMBERS kind of Find A Grave member. I am a GENEALOGY kind of Find A Grave member. I don't like people who are rude and numbers people. It's about OUR family history being done correct. I do have the current Trigg County Cemetery book that I use as a reference. If anyone needs anything looked up, I would be more than happy to do that for you. Please leave me a message!
I now maintain the majority of the memorials in Robertson-Hite Cemetery in Trigg County, Ky. Kathleen Boyd transferred them all to me after I requested the Larkins to be transferred. She maintains a lot of memorials as she has taken on her husband's since he went home to be with the Lord. I will honor and maintain each memorial with the highest respect. _______________________________________________
When I go to a cemetery that has my family members in it, I enjoy taking pictures of the entire cemetery (time permitting). I do not have any issues with anyone taking and using my pictures of the headstones that are in your family tree. However, if I have added pics of a person, please ask before you use them. If I have added a member of your family tree to Find A Grave and it is NOT in my tree, I will be more than happy to transfer it to you. I take pics and add memorials to Find a Grave in hopes that it helps someone else find who they are looking for as well. If anyone has information on any memorial that I have added,please send me a note thru the edit link on the memorial. I will be happy to update/link family members. It's about our history.....keeping everyone together for our future generations to have.
If you have time, please visit some of my family and leave flowers.

Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time,
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.
Lord, help me trace the ancient roads
On which my father's trod,
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.
Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript,
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.
Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find,
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.

I just spent the better part of a beautiful day traipsing around Trigg Co Cemeteries! Iam looking for the grave ofJefferson Jones. You listed his wife Burnetta as being buried in Kenady and I was hoping he might be there. I could not find it today due to spotty cell service, but now find out I drove right past to get to I24 ;)I am also looking for Robert Allen Phillips who died in 1879 while in Cerulean. Jefferson Jones died around 1890...we are not sure. The families are related as each contributed a parent to my ancestor Grace Phillips Lewis. I saw lots of Stewarts today, as well as Turners. Many more Cemeteries to go!
Keep up the good work!

|Bushong Weiss||James Atwood|
Sorry , that is all the information that I have for James. Did you find your James in the 1850 census in Kentucky, just curious.. if so, we can forget it is the same person..I will keep eye open for anymore Atwoods in Calhoun Co Michigan.
|Bushong Weiss||James Atwood|
I am doing research on the burial and deaths at the Poor Farm in Marengo, Calhoun County Michigan.
The name James Atwood, is listed as dieing there and I made a memorial for him..
I find it interesting that the birth and death dates are pretty close. And the only census I can find him in is 1850.
Do you know if James might have relatives in Michigan?
It is just an idea that maybe?
Please take a look at memorial # 89112360.
|Melvin Doss||Bridges Cemetery|
One more thing. Your Bridges cemetery that has Hughie Bridges and Nannie Gresham Bridges names. I have photos of those two graves and will add them in a few minutes.
|Melvin Doss||Bridges Corrections|
AS usual, you are right again! I'll delete my Drewry Bridges Cemetery. I think the problem is that the Cemetery that has the same stones listed is named incorrectly.
The picture of the cemetery clearly shows the name spelled "Drewry Bridges Cemetery" but it shows spelled as "Drury Bridges Cemetery" on this site. I didn't find it so I started another Cemetery with the same names.
I requested that the owner correct the spelling.
Thanks for pointing out my mistake!

|C. WORD||RE: Hey!!|
Your work is impeccable and will be such a value to people for generations to come. Thanks for all you do and thanks for transferring Lonas Norman to me.
His story is very interesting as he died of alcohol poisoning with contributory factors of environment and habit. I was told by his sister, who recollects her Mother told her that he was found in a ditch outside the Todd Co., KY home in January (very cold). He obviously had a drinking problem and likely had a still in Norman's hollow in Todd Co., KY although I have no proof of that.
This 1929 death by alcohol poisoning was also during the prohibition period in the US so the story is interesting as the alcohol was illegal. One can only imagine what was going on with this young man's life back then. It is very sad his life ended this way.
