Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello! To begin, I am a LADY. Confusing first name.
On this website I am attempting to enter information from the west side of Iron County, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula, where I live. It's BEAUTIFUL here, with forests, lakes, hills, and rivers. The history of the area comes alive for me as I work on this.
I also am entering information from my own family tree and my husband's. We have 5 young adult children and one grandchild, and I'd like to preserve the family tree information for them.
I am a retired High School Librarian, so researching and recording this information is pretty thrilling & natural for me!

I want to take this moment to thank you. Dora is my grandmother. I live in Tennessee and I can't take the time to come visit. I can now visit her whenever I'd like.Again, thank you.

RE: Charles Gibbs # 24018039
I was researching my Gibbs line and just found Wayne Ohlsson family tree on rootsweb a few days ago. I also have been finding documentation for Charles and a possible death in North Carolina but I have not found his grave. I'm just glad that this Charles Gibbs has the right parents. Lol.

RE: Curtis Roy Swanson #80613204
Yes my father passed away in Mesa county Colorado June 5, 2010. He was cremated. I don't know any other details my brother Charles handled it. Charles not only lived near him at time of death, but was his closest son. What does transferring his memorial to me do? Does it allow me to edit or make changes? If so yes please I would like you to transfer his memorial to me. Thank you for all your hard work. I know you can only go by what you were told. No hard feelings thank you again.

The duplicate memorials for Aaron (13793575) and Rosa were not made by me but by a different Laura. The newer duplicate is 92960895. Please let me know how we need to go about this to fix it.

Wilmer Zempel #140903003
You recently declined a request to add a marker transcription for Wilmer Zempel. I recently photographed all the markers at Concordia Cemetery and added a photo of Wilmer's military marker which says:

The reason you gave for declining the request is "Content submitted does not belong in this data field." The transcriptions for both family markers and military markers belong in the marker transcription field.

I am resubmitting the request. Please reconsider your decision and allow Wilmer's military transcription to be added to his memorial to the marker transcription field. Thanks!

John C. Johnson
Hello, Dale,
That is a beautiful picture of him that you posted on John's memorial! If you're related to him at all, I'd be happy to transfer his memorial to you. Just ask. As for his middle name being Carl (your edit/suggestion), could you please tell me the source you have for that? Thanks.

photo request for Arthur Denis
Thank you very much for your help in trying to locate Hoggy's grave marker. What you found out is also very sad for I did not know that Ronald had passed this past August. I knew both of these men and spent time in Gastra with them when Hoggy use to live down in Wisconsin. He and I use to go visit his father many times through out the years. I miss him well. Hopefully I can make the trip up there to pay my respects soon. Thank you again.
