I'd first of all like to thank all of my fellow FindAGrave friends for your submittals on upgrading my memorials; the addition of dates, family member links, biographies and the like continue to make FindAGrave a "Go-To" site for finding family information. For all your efforts I am indeed grateful.|
I've been into this genealogy thing for quite a number of years, but seriously only recently upon retirement and the internet. With my grandfather and father both being photographers, photographing cemeteries so others may fill in their family history is only a natural for me. Originally from Bakersfield/Maricopa California, I now reside in Huntsville, AL, and am doing mostly Madison and Lincoln County Cemeteries along with others in the surrounding area. If you find errors or if you'd like to add or change information let me know - I'm accommodating. The main families I'm researching include Allen, Banta, Blodget, Crites, Jewett, Kirkpatrick, Meriwether, Macmurdo, McCracken, Overton, Renfro, Trimble & Vanderlinden on my side of the family, and Blaylock, Dean, Hill, Howard, King, McElyea, McKee and Posey on my wife's side. One of my other hobbies is collecting automobile pictures - that's a 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible.

"Liz" was entered as her maiden name and I submitted a change to appear as her nickname, and then went back and submitted her maiden name to be Albright. It looks correct.

I sent you an edit for Hank Murray's parents. His mother Christine Murray was my aunt. I noticed you photographed the headstones before her death in 2012. I created a memorial for her, but I didn't have an obituary. Were you able to find any newspaper articles on her, J. C. or Hank's deaths? I have been trying to link all my dad's family together. I know they are not direct relations, but I would be glad to take over their memorials.

You sent me an obit for Sidney Shasteen. I would be happy to add it to his memorial, but it appears the beginning of the obit was cut off. It starts in the middle of a sentence with " for Acme Mechanical Co. of Manchester...". Could you check and send me the missing part? Thanks and have a good day!
|memento mori||Awesome Roadmaster|
I remember fondly my mother's 1956 Buick. It was huge. I thought the fold down arm rest to the driver's right was a kiddie seat. And there were velvet ropes like in movie theater lines on the backs of the front seats. And it was such a huge cavernous boat of a car. The back seat was the size of a living room. :)
