Bio and Links
Bio Photo My strategy for researching is to find as much documentation as possible about all of my ancestors' brothers, sisters, and in-laws in order to find clues about migrations and adoptions when the records are sparse. Surnames and geography that usually ends in upstate New York but sometimes Ohio:
-Cattaraugus County, New York
-Clinton County, New York
-Allen, Arnold
-Cudworth, Baker
-Strong, Stoddard, Moon
-Pomeroy, Green, Hickok
-Fields (Beauchamp)
-Loisel dit Sinnett
-Davis, Higby
-Aten, White, Wade, Porter, Barnes, Lafferty, Grimes
-Sherrill, Huntting, Miller (Suffolk and Dutchess Counties)

I strongly believe in providing family links and removing duplicate memorials. Please send me additions and corrections.

RE: wow!
I am glad I could help. I'm not sure what cemetery he was in but I try to log graves everywhere I go. Happy hunting.

RE: Smith Family in Au Sable, NY
Hello Elizabeth,

You are correct about the cemetery... of course the day we were there, I think it was even too hot for the mosquitoes. ;-)

The following are records of my relatives which you created:

Find A Grave Memorial# 93295236 Jane Ann Smith Ames
Find A Grave Memorial# 93295638 John R Smith
Find A Grave Memorial# 93295757 Willie Smith

I would be grateful if you are willing to transfer them to me.

Thank you,

Hiram W. Jones

Like you I research family member's families which is why I looked up Hiram W. Jones. I am descended from Hiram J. and Laura Hubbard Jones and would be interested in sharing information with you. We also had a couple of other names in common.

Earlier this summer you sent a message about the Baileys. I added it to the memorial. Thank you for sending this along, and sorry for the delay in thanking you.

Maybe you should leave the door open on the Find A Grave app. You used it on a bad day for wires getting crossed and that is not the app's fault. Sounds like using the app in the cemetery would save alot of writing down info so as to enter on Find A Grave later. Take care and thanks for your time and efforts.
