Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired university teacher and librarian with interest in Civil War burials and burial practices. Also undertaking to photograph all cemeteries in Erath County, TX, and surrounding counties, then to enter the tombstone information into the database. Many older tombstones are in such shape as to be illegible, so corrections to bad or missing biographical information is welcomed.

Please make requests for additions, corrections, links, etc., directly from the memorials' "edit" feature rather than here. I'll get to them much faster. (Transfers to direct descendants, please, and not in bulk lots!)

Goyne-Fairy Cemetery
Ooops, my mistake - you were referring to another memorial of the same person that I overlooked. However, the other memorial was made 4 months AFTER Bo made his memorial. She is the one who made the duplication. Please ask her to delete hers and she is welcome to send me the edits and to post the photo. ab

Fair Cemetery-Goyne/Coyne
Ken: There are two Goyne - George W and Geo W - father and son. You are correct, the George W is misspelled and I will correct that. Really hard to see that "G" and I can see where Bo got the spelling. No deletion necessary. Thanks. ab

Ken, I am related to the Price family members who are buried in this cemetery. I have death certificates for others that are buried here, but nothing is shown for them in this site. Please tell me if you transcribed all graves and the year. Thanks so much for your time, effort, and volunteer work.

William Jasper Nixon
Thank you putting the information about him on "Find a Grave". He was my great grandfather. I know of 3 more of his children not listed on his page. My grandmother's name is not there or 2 other of his children. My grandmother's name was Mary Elizabeth Nixon Cook. Her date of birth was Jan 1, 1870 and she died Jan 30, 1966. Place of burial is Clairette, TX. Also, her sister's name is omitted from the record. Her name is Minnie Viola Nixon, she was born June 5, 1880 in Abilene, TX. I do not know her date of death or where she is buried, but she lived most of her life in Hico, TX.
Also my grandmother's brother, Robert Nathaniel Nixon is not listed. He was born in April 11, 1886 in Goldthwaite, TX. He died April 10, 1958 in Ranger, TX. Thank you for adding these names to your records. Mary Lounell Cook Robinson.
My email address is if you have any other questions.

Memorial on Earl R. Heaton
Hi Ken,
I appreciate all the work you have done documenting cemeteries in Erath County. I have sent you information to add to the memorial on my father Earl R. Heaton. If you have your hands full, I wouldn't mind taking this one over so I can add additional information. My contributor number is #48538885. Thanks a bunch, Kathy Wells
