|Andrew Wells||RE: Sarah J. Dickinson|
Bob Birmingham has added a photo of the grave marker for Sarah J Dickinson in the Live Oak Christian Church Cemetery for Carteret County, NC. This has the exact same name, date of birth and death as the one in Bessie's Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery for Anson County, NC. I think perhaps the initial marker was abandoned, and the stone brought to Bessie's Chapel by someone who wanted to preserve the grave for Toney Smith, but couldn't afford the cost. Perhaps the first marker was not acceptable by her brother Christopher?

Thank you again for your suggestions.I always wondered what happened to Mr Meyer. But now that I see his DOD it is the day my Mom had her massive stroke. And every thing for us went haywire for the next three years.

sorry to take so long to reply But it took me forever to find Mr Buchanan's DC but I did!!! This is all very interesting for me because all these folks are distant cousins that I never knew because I was raised in Philadelphia by age 3.I'm doing my family tree now.But the towns are familiar because back in 92 my Mom took me to Lilesville where she was born. All the folks she knew were gone by then except for one old lady they sent for.And when they saw each other they could nor stop talking!!Now I wonder if they were cousins... I took a trip back to Columbia where I was born this past summer. Met about a hundred cousins at a cookout that I did not know!!!Saw where my parents met, married where Mom went to high school and college, the hosp where I was born but the most emotional part of the trip was going to the churches where my families went and the cemeteries where my great great great great grands mothers and fathers were buried and thinking about who all in the families were there at those times and stood where we were standing and to see the names on the tombstones ... A trip to remember for real....Sorry to be so windy but thanks for your help. Have a safe, happy holiday time. Peace. Peggie

Thank you for your suggested change on the burial site of Mrs Buchanan. I was using the information on her death certificate. Since then I read about the Old Westview cemetery. Quite interesting. I have made the change based on your knowledge of the area. Although she is a distant relative,I did not know her.

You're quite welcome
Elizabeth was the wife of Albert Perry. I corrected her year of birth and added some other information. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
|Tom||RE: Beth Shalom Cemetery Question|
I do believe this is the cemetery you are looking for. Beth Shalom is 3.3 miles from Millvale center proper. To the best of my knowledge there is no other Beth Shalom Cemetery in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.
There IS a Lena Allen buried in this Beth Shalom Cemetery. Buried 12/23/1932. Section BB. Plot 60. Grave 3.
