I became interested in genealogy in 2002 when my son was in Boy Scouts and he earned the Genealogy merit badge.
For the last five generations, my ancestors have been from the southern Illinois or southern Indiana area. In 2007 and 2010 my research had considerable success with cemeteries, and that was when I got interested in Find A Grave.
I live in the the Houston/Galveston area of Texas, and I have done some research for people who do not live near me. I am pleased to be of service to those who do not live near me, just as I am pleased when someone from a distance helps me with my ancestors.

Tombstone of Marion Knoxie Lumpkin and Edna Adell Acreman
Good evening, George. You are one brace soul. Thank you so much for the photo of the tombstone for above individuals. It is still cold and wet here, and I really felt it today. Hope you were able to stay dry and warm.

Was surprised to see that his date of death has not been added to his tombstone yet. Appreciate your help. Have a wonderful holiday season this year. Pat Cronin

Thank you so much for the photo. I was hoping to find a date of death. Mr. Baucom was a good friend of my Dad's when I was young. We would go to his house and go fishing during the summer. He was such a nice man.

Thanks for the help with the pictures at Forest Park East. I am not in the Houston area much so I don't know when I would have a chance to go find that cemetery

Aaron and Isadore Samuels
Wow George! Thank you SO much for transferring the memorials of Aaron Samuels and Isadore Samuels to me!

Somewhere in my folder I have a couple cigar store advertizements from the Galveston paper for Emanuel's and Aaron's store. I believe their building still stands in Galveston. I come from a long line of cigar makers and glass makers.

My eyes were getting a little bit crossed when I wrote my email to you. :-) When I plug it into Aaron's and Isadore's memorials we'll see if I had everything perfect. :-)

I Promise I will take very good care of Aaron's and Isadore's memorials!

God Bless,
